Yes it is. I'm still in my first season. I got man of the match 4 times in a row then the next game got subbed for being rubbish! Such is the life of a Basingstoke legend!

It's also very funny. Before our game with Sutton United, it was reported that half their team had gone down with food poisoning possibly from the lasagne!

When you get a girlfriend it's funniest "An attractive lady wishes to be your girlfriend, do you accept?" if only it was that easy lol

    Yes it's so addictive!
There's 2 modes. Arcade mode Is just practicing shots and stuff but Career mode is where you'll lose many hours! Imagine a more involved Footballer of the Year.

The closest thing to Footy of the year that I played was Soccer Life! for PS2, but it wasn't half the fun... (the "macth" part had zero fun in to it).

can I play this one outside Android?

Still on the subject of Footballer of The Year, some years ago psj3809, made me a debug version of the game where you could accept if you wanted to change teams or not (that was the main flaw in the game to me).

the game became nearly perfect! (the one thing that it's missing is national competitions, there isn't much point in playing for your national squad if you don't get to compete in euro & world cup!)

    (Amiga) Harlequin
    (ZX Spectrum) Auf Wiedersehen, Monty
(C64) Thing on a Spring <-- I wish this was ported to the Speccy back in the day, the sequel Thing Bounces Back wasn't as good!

The thing that annoyed me with Gremlin was them changing their logo

    Why change from this

It's on Iphone as well. The matches are shown as text commentary. Then it will say something like "Van Tammen wins the ball" and it will switch to an overhead view of the pitch. You then control the ball, either passing or shooting, setting the power and spin etc. It will then go back to the text commentary.

I read recently that the programmers weren't happy with the end result of Auf Wiederson Monty, there was more they wanted to do but had a deadline so some things were left out. I think it's the best in the series.

Never a huge fan of the Monty games even back in the day and I think they'e aged horribly now. I do still really enjoy Delektor, the original Jack The Nipper, Death Wish 3 (yeah, might be in a minority there  ), Hero Quest, Space Crusade, Switchblade and Technocop though. :D

I always found Bounder really playable - still worth a bash today

"Abu Simbel" and "Monty is innocent" are my favourite :)
