I had a Duo in the early 90 and the fondest memories of the thing. Shame I sold off everything long ago but at least I still got a couple of import mags from around 94-96.

Cool mag, I like the silly writing style. Getting some blast from the past here from the read, that Dr. Bakuda feature shows chars from Bravo Man. I played the hell out of that game, the graphics were slightly naff but it struck me as one of the few PCE games (well, out of the maybe 60 or so I've played back then) with true parallax scrolling.

Also, Legendary Axe ... man, I hated that game. Irem really excelled at making some of the most infuriating games on the PCE.

Legendary Axe was by Victor, but you're right about Irem anyway :)

You're probably thinking of Hudson, who had a habit of ripping off everybody elses games and changing the main sprite :D

It will be up in about a week. You used to be able to download from the viewer, I'm not sure if that still works.
  • Nice online viewer! :)

Cheers for the link. I always wanted a PC Engine back in the day but never got one. I used to enviously watch the demos in our local computer shop. I think I had a master system at the time so the PCE looked a bit of a leap up.
