Good work!
What was your previous adventure??
And I'm suddenly glad I spent the time to get the print42 library routine working :-) Looks like it uses that! Woot!
Any chance of releasing source code? Needs an entry on http://www.boriel.com/wiki/en/index.php/ZX_BASIC:Released_Programs
His previous Adventure was "A Broken Friend": http://www.worldofspectrum.org/infoseekid.cgi?id=0027296, and it is also authored with ZXBC.
Yes, it uses the print42 code - really nice routine :-D
The source code is... a mess... and I doubt anyone would learn anything from it other than how not to write code!
Thanks for all the comments and feedback.
Hopefully the game is an improvement on the last one even if it was a bit easier..
Regards,
Shaun.
Edit: Yeah, press 1 rather than one works... D'oh!
Paul: I'd like to see the source code to see if I can make it happen on another platform, if you don't mind?
Regards,
Shaun.
It's nicely the done bar the occasional typo, good scene setting and the early puzzles very manageable.
I made good progress but got stuck in the large building, and couldn't use the lifts. It turned out I was using them correctly but thought I had to 'open door' or something.
In the end I cheated and looked at the tipshop. I'm not sure I'd have solved this myself, but I'm disappointed with myself for cheating so readily. I suppose that has to be a downside of having such easy access to info, if it was a long wet summer holiday with no internet I might have soldiered on and solved it myself...
