I'm an ol' freak... listening to Frank Zappa via spotify. :-o :-D
Thanks Godness I can have an ear to every one of his albums, like "Hot Rats", "Sheik Yerbouti" and so much stuff I will last more than a month for this. However, some of them are still not available in Spain though, but I can wait few days more. :)
I've found myself listening to the stone Temple Pilots quite a bit recently, since they seem to play Plush! on the radio at work quite a bit now, and it's on Radio X on San Andreas. So I found myself wiping virtual dust from a few other tunes by them.
I like them more now than what I did when I was a teenager :D
Infact the radio at work has gone very strange in the last couple of months, at one time it was a few slightly out of date Ameri-pop hits like Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, or Robb Thomas that would come in between the usual selection of 80's crap that nobody remembers, and harmless soft rock.
It all started about 2 or 3 months ago, one of the guys had been scheduled an hour earlier than me, and he was asking me if the tune that was just playing was by Peter Gabriel, as he was about to leave, and just as I was saying "I dunno?" I hear the all familiar droll of Epic By Faith No More. Never heard anything like that on the radio at work at all. I couldn't believe it to the point where I told the other guy to shut up so I could actually hear it to make sure I wasn't going mental.
They still play some utter gonads on the radio now, but it's no longer totally unbearable, and quite interesting when they segway Amy Winehouse into The Executioners then into Men without Hats and then into Korn and finish up with Prince
always thought stone temple pilots were a bit 'fake grunge' till I heard their album shangri-la-di-da (crap title alert) and there are some really good songs on it, it's not even that grungy...

Weren't they a super group though? Or did they come back a few years ago with members from other bands? Or am I thinking of something else?
For some reason I was thinking Chris Cornell had something to do with a comeback from them? But that f**ker's had his fingers in so many pies I just don't even know now?
Nope, can't stand them. I like some of Bleach and a couple of tracks from Nevermind, but the rest is all overrated cack as far as I'm concerned...

I think you're thinking of Velvet Revolver? Scott Weiland and most of GNR? As for Chris Cornell, the only "supergroup" he's been involved in (as far as I know) is Audioslave.

Are you thinking of Velvet Revolver (Scott Weiland used to be in that along with some G'N'Rers) or maybe Audio Slave (Chris Cornell and some of RATM)?
Re. STP I think Tiny Music... Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop is a good album
He was also in Temple of the Dog with some Pearl Jammers.
Aye, more of a tribute band (to the deceased singer of Mother Love Bone) than a supergroup, but yes, completely forgot about them. Amazing album too! :)

Got this yesterday, it's great! Damon Albarn, Flea and Tony Allen with lots of different guests in an afrofunk bubble. Superb.
Sounds a bit odd? Can't be any worse than Wigwam though? :D

The whole album has a great P-Funk vibe to it, I'm really impressed!

Still a freakin' awesome album too!
But, yes, damn, I'm getting old... :-o
