Tidy Tony ever released solo?
Like Steelyard blues, this case looks very similar, I really doubt it was a released by itself:

It could be that we have inlays for the likes of Big Bad John and I Ain't Got No Body, which we do of course, but I wonder if they were bundled with a machine rather than being available to buy in the shops ?
Curiously we have some inlays for the likes of Witchfiend (strobe), but not an actual TZX from the original. Albeit the Tynesoft TZX was from the Witchfiend+Odd Job Eddie compilation ?
The TZXs differ in that the file names have Title case vs lower case between them. Hmm.
One title I'm unsure about it's release is Summer Olympiad. I think while it was released on the C64, BBC, ST Etc, I have my suspicions that it wasn't released on the Spectrum. Most likely due to the bad reviews:

We may be able to contact someone at Eutechnyx about it. Unless I'm confused... the address seems the same as when Steve worked there, I think they were Zeppelin and may have links to these Tyneside companies... Though originally Zeppelin were based in Houghton-Le-Spring which would moreso be Wearside ;-).
Yes, there are some doubts about some games, and I think you guys from the British preservation team surely know much better than me :)
It would be nice to contact Eutechnyx and solve the mistery about Summer Olympiad, although it looks like it was never released for the Spectrum since we havent seen any copy (rather than MIA). I checked the reviews but they are not so bad! around the 7 for the C-64.
Maybe we should open a thread about games which we think they were never released instead of MIA in the Infoseek section? ;)
Well I'm not sure if I'm drawing the wrong conclusion about Eutechnyx or Brian Jobling etc, I will need to do more digging. It looks as Tynesoft went bust (folded) but I don't know if a Pheenix company rose from that ? I guess it's possible some authors worked on the various North East England companies.
Also I Ain't Got Nobody:
http://www.worldofspectrum.org/infoseekid.cgi?id=0002427
and
Big Bad John:
http://www.worldofspectrum.org/infoseekid.cgi?id=0000516
Have inlays, I've just dug mine out to rescan in whole (instructions on reverse) mention on the inlay:
"This program is manufactured under licence from Strobe by Tynesoft."
Does that mean Stobe is a label from Tynesoft, or that Tynesoft somehow bought them out or took over... or merged ?
There seems to be a Tynesoft company
http://www.tynesoft.com/about.html
It mentions a Mark Phillips, Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder
??? http://www.worldofspectrum.org/infoseekpub.cgi?regexp=^Mark+Phillips$&loadpics=3 ????
and .... Jonathan Wilson, Chief Technical Officer & Co-Founder
http://www.worldofspectrum.org/infoseekpub.cgi?regexp=^Jon+Wilson$&loadpics=3
or
http://www.worldofspectrum.org/infoseekpub.cgi?regexp=^J%2e+Wilson$&loadpics=3
However the names might just be a co-incidence ?
I'm probably drawing too many conclusions.
More digging is require to piece together more info.
There are 4 games in the archive flagged as released by Strobe, and I aint got nobody and Big Bad John dont appear as such, so that should be a correction for their entries in the archive, I guess?
I said about opening a thread in Infoseek because I think maybe Martijn reads that part more often looking for corrections in the archive ;)
I see that Summer Olympiad on ebay is a re-release on the Microvalue label, but I haven't seen the Tynesoft release. It is on the ST, BBC, not sure which others, but I wonder if Tynesoft released it at full price first on these machines, and then bypassed the expensive release and used the MicroValue label to release it cheaper ? Perhaps they trialled it on the C64 and it didn't sell well enough to warrant it being released on the Spectrum ?
Until we see physical evidence either on eBay or a collector has it, it will remain an unsolved mystery.
