Tea. Haven't really been drinking much booze this month. In fact, last night I had my first drink of the year; 3 pints and a shot of tequila.

So long as you're not suggesting something like old MacAllan that sh*t costs about $399 a bottle here and it's about $6 a shot from a bottle of the cheap stuff. I don't even think you can get Old MacAllan in shots from a bottle in a bar here?

Nobody who didn't have 15 platinum cards would pay that, and anybody who did would probably get robbed on the way out, and I don't live anywhere even near rough compared to what I did back home in the Engy-Land

Of course give a suburban wannabe a pistol and he thinks he's a rap superstar, I feel safer when I'm with the ghetto peeps than I do than when I'm with the burb peeps

More cheap ass Whisky to help get me though the evenings of being ill. I think Domestos, or lighter fluid would have a smoother taste than this, but its doing the job of soothing, clearing and disinfecting my throat brilliantly.

From the looks and sounds of it you'd be better of drinking Listerene :D

Skol Larger. If its good enough for the queen its good enough for me. And it was by far the cheapest non home brand lager in Tescos.

Well, it's a pint glass but anyway... cans of Murphys! because the last cans of Guinness I had made me want to puke, they were *fizzy* and horrible.

Tonight's drinky sesh is being spent on #speccy/#spin as usual, with loud music :) Alas, I haven't got around to restoring MarkoTV yet... but the night is young...

Just had some koumquat liqueur. Utterly bright orange stuff, sweet and sickly.

Haha! If my job didn't involve me having to move around so much and not be drunk I'd probably try some of that, although my 6 months I worked in an office were quite blurry, as I spent most of those 6 months high, and/or drunk during work hours

Of course that was 12 years ago when I was a little less responsible :D

worth it just for the gag frankly
  • edited August 2012
yep, I'll probably not buy it again even though it's nice $9.99 for a 6 pack, I can get 30 cheapo crap cans of beer for that price :o

But the gag is what got me, I saw the stuff in the back room at work about a week or so ago, and thought I have to have some of that.

Well it's out on the shelves now so I rustled one on the way out the door this morning.

    That's probably Boozy's favourite!

  • I used to drink bottles of Newkie Brown at uni. For two reasons really: you could carry it in the busy student bars without it spilling and you got a lot more in a bottle than other beers.

Either they changed the recipe or the pub I got them from had a storage issue because they started tasting a bit cheesy after a while. Haven't touched the stuff in years

I do like a nice cold bottle o' broon every now and then, it's a bit pricey here though, usually about $9 or $10 for a 6 pack, and it's only those halfpint export bottles, not the nice big pint bottles.

You can get those here, but I've only seen them in one store, and it's about a 45 minute drive to get there.

I can find the big ones at any 7/11, and I have one 5 minutes away from me, walking.

If Bevmo has them you might get a good price on home delivery. Just stock up and convince the wife you're trying to save money.

I don't think she'll buy it, anyway for the next 3 weeks I'll be a less Boozy erm Boozy.

It's september, and my wife seems to have practically made it a tradition for me not to drink in the 3 weeks leading up to her birthday, although she was a little nicer this year, she said I can still have a beer on my days off work.

But realistically if I want one I'll have one (sometimes it's worth enduring the nagging for a nice cool beer after a hard night at work) :D

Man! I haven't seen Erdinger in years :D

I'm drinking Rolling Rock, a bit crap, but it's a moderately priced nicish beer, as adversed to an expensive tasty beer, or a really cheap box of gutrot.

Basically it's pricey pish, but good cheap stuff.

As long as it's drinkable.. Though I'm not too keen on your bog standard Fosters/Carling nowadays as it's everywhere. I think I'd drink Rolling Rock in a pub, just because it would be a bit of a novelty to see it round here.

I bought a load of assorted beers from our local Asda last week, this is the last of it:

I was also given a bottle of JD for my birthday last week so I have a bit of that at some point.
