I ordered mine on 11th July, and they stated 11 weeks.

    Got this on 28th August...
Thanks again for your Raspberry Pi order, reference number xxx.

We are busy working with the suppliers who provide components for your Raspberry Pi to ensure you receive your order as quickly as possible.

Since receiving your order, we have been advised that our next batch of approximately 40,000 Raspberry Pi?s will now be arriving during September, with further deliveries expected in October. This delay is due to the very high level of demand on the core Raspberry Pi processor chip.

Unfortunately, this means that your order could be delayed by up to 9 weeks, although we are trying to reduce this as much as possible. We have updated the delivery schedule displayed in our FAQ?s and on the Raspberry Pi forum.

As soon as we receive confirmation of any improvements from our manufacturers, we will advise you.

Please accept our apologies for this delay and be assured we are doing everything we can to ensure the fastest possible delivery of your Raspberry Pi.
Hopefully it won't be delayed too long...
    So far, so meh :)

Saw that. The last complete computers I recall being made in the UK were the iMacs made at the LG plant in Newport, which ceased production in spring 2000.

Yes but they're not Pi2's, just a new manufacturing source for the Pi.

If you're talking about a sequel machine rather than a revision 2 board of the original machine, surely it will be called the RaspberryTau?

Apparently at the moment Farnell are fulfilling orders MUCH faster than RS, so it seems the common advice is if you want to get one quicker, try Farnell first.

Wonder what else Sony are making at their Wales factory - is this factory used for contract manufacturing only, or do they also make Sony-branded stuff there?
