I picked up 2 new albums today while in town (2 for ?15 in HMV)
Anathema - Weather Systems. I saw this band live a couple of times back in the mid 90's (With Cathedral and Paradise Lost as well as a couple of others) and I enjoyed them live, but never really "got" them on cd. Restless Oblivion is the only album of theirs that I can really listen to and the last one I bought (a promo copy of) was about 8 years or so ago and it was a little bit poppy, but still pretty decent. With this album though, thyey seem to have turned into U2 ans I can't stand U2 :(
?7.50 down the pan I think :-(
Richard Hawley - Standing at the Sky's Edge. I didn't even know he had a new cd out! I've just loved the last 3 albums, so I've got high hopes for this one. I've not even started to listen to it yet though, so I hope I'm not disapointed :)

Found "Hotel" by Moby for a small fortune last night.
What a horrid waste of 50 cents, and the bloke has a terribly boring singing voice. It only had the first CD. I am thinking the second CD might have been more interesting because it's apparently voice-less.

yeah never liked Moby. the ultimate 'tasteful' (i.e. boring) coffee table artist for estate agents and single mums who thought Chemical Brothers were a bit too radical and edgy. that "O Lordy My..Troubles So Bad" track used to annoy me every time it came on the radio

okay to be fair I didn't realise he had a Gabba period! maybe not as safe as i thought, still don't really like any of it though :(
punk band, I'll guess at Mission Of Burma, because I know that's who did the original of the "Reach For My Revolver" track, but I don't think that's right.
