    SH*T THE BED!!! :o

I was poking around on Amazon looking at games, seeing if I can get any cheapo games or better offers before I re-order the Vice/Liberty City Stories Double pack.

Just out of curiousity I thought I'll check out Panzer Dragoon Saga thinking to myself it's bound to be more than $300 now.

OMFG! actually said omfg! in the style of Jerry Jackson! Yep Panzer Dragoon saga has topped $300 used! :???:

    For a new copy it's now $1499.99! :o

    I nearly sh*t myself not on purpose :o :o :o :o :o

Guess if I ever want to play the Saga of the Flying Worm ever again I'll have to get a better PC and a decent Saturn emu, or win the effin' lotto one or the other.

    Couldn't bloody believe it

    Ouch!

And is that the US version? That and the Jap one are usually much cheaper than the UK version. Gah. Wish I'd forked out on the ?45.00 for it when it first came out. :S

I dunno the most expensive I'd seen it before now was in Gamestation back in 06', I think it was ?245? Can't remember exactly now though? Funnily enough they had what appeared to be same copy for ?99.99 a year earlier, L@@K! R@RE!!! has really affected this game

Always like it when somebody posts a ?, when I quote them I can cut n' paste it so I don't look like a mong always saying quid or pound or GBP. But this yankee keyboard has no ? on it :D

Oh another thing? Graz (Or anyone for that matter?)? You're a man of the world when it comes to gaming, you tend to like and dislike similar stuff to me? Have you ever played NeverDead? If so is it worth paying $7 for it new? Seems like a good deal even if it's a steamy poop tbh? :D

Ah, NeverDead you say? Well..... erm, actually, I've not played that one. Will have to pass that question over to someone else. I'll have a lil look on YouTube to see what it's all about.

Playing Red Dead Redemption on the PS3 - which I got for absolutely nuthin! Yup, took a 25% off PSN+ sunscription out for ?30 for a year (okay so, it didn't actually cost me nuthin) and got a really decent handful of games for free: Red Dead, Saints Row 2, LBP 2, Infamous 2, Borderlands, Tomb Raider Guardian of Light, an Indie game that's pretty good, and a few others I haven't downloaded yet.

It's pretty bloody good PSN+. Got 150mb cloud storage for my save games that's going to be 1Gb on the next update.

    Recommended.

Perfect condition. Played once (great game) I bought it for ?34.99 in Wollworths in Tooting. Funny thing is, I didn't buy it when I first saw it. I decided nearly a week later to pick it up!

A quick look on eBay shows a couple of copies at around ?160 with a few days left. A couple of "buy it now"s at ?200 and a load of imports at various prices, inc an odd one of just disc 3 of the American version at ?45 :o

I've been playing a selection of Megadrive/Genesis games this morning, after reading jdanddiet's last installment of his top 100 I fancied playing some Megadrive games.

    Thus far.....

    Twinkle Tale

    twinkleTale_10.jpg

    Magical Taruruuto Kun

    105.gif

    Midnight Resistance

Still not keen on the bloody controls

    Midnight%20Resistance%20(2).gif

    Osomatsu Kun

After about 20 years I still have no real idea where I'm going or what I'm doing with this one, and it's well hard to play now :o

    gfs_19599_2_1.jpg

    Dahna Megami Tanjou

An old favourite of mine, it's dog rough, but even so I first played this about 20 years ago, and I still love it now :D

    Apr11_4AeMYk42AVVnK_P.jpg

I'm going to continue playing Megadrive games today I think, not touching GTA til' after tonight, then it's my day off, and I can get pissed and go on a Carl Johnson rampage (Aye that just made me think they did away with the rampages in San Andreas? They'd been a GTA staple since the first game?).

Thanks for the links. Unfortunately, it seems my MAME version (MAME4all, android) doesn't support these roms... maybe one day I'll get a version to run in my laptop.

    Both games look cool!

It's well worth taking the time to get it running on your laptop. Just download something like Mame32 or MameUFX, unzip it to it's own folder, download the ROM you want to play (as a general rule of thumb, grab the largest size file if there are several options) and leave it zipped, then put it into the ROMS folder in the Mame folder, then start the Mame frontend, find the game, then double click it and it should load.

If you have any trouble, a quick search on Youtube will bring up hundreds of help videos. I'd post one on here, but most of them show you ROM sites and alot of those have denied Speccy games on them, so I can't ;-)

I downloaded the new Double Dragon remake on XboxLive last night. It's a surprisingly large download (around 2.3gb). but, it's not really very good IMO. It's really hard for a start with normal thugs doing far too much damage in a single hit (around 4 hits will kill you) and with only 2 lives and having to start again from the start if you continue, it's going to be a tough game to work through.

Also, it plays alot like a generic PC 3D remake, rather than a studio effort. Mabey they knew that, so it's only 800ms points, rather than 1200. As it is at the moment, it's not worth 800points IMO, but if it drops to 400 in a sale, then it'll be worth picking up.

I also got hold of a copy of Project Zero 2 on the Wii last week (?14.99 new in GAMES sale). I'm impressed with it's atmosphere really. It's generally very spooky, but it's also slow moving too. I only completed the first chapter last night, so I've still got a long way to go, but I'd highly recomend it to anyone who likes spooky sruvival horror games :-)

As a side note, it was surprisingly hard to find decent video footage of this game without anyone sqwaking and shhouting all over it :-(

Hmm, that looks pretty much the same as the PS2 version. Is there much different to warrant buying this one? I love the series loads and look forward to Project Zero 4 on Wii.

Route 16 on MAME. Another interesting find. A driving maze game where you must collect money bags and avoid the other drivers. You can get out the maze and can see a general view of 16 mazes, then drive the car to enter another maze.

I think that was known as Armoured Scrum Object (ASO) in the UK. Remember spending many illicit school lunchtimes playing it. Is it as rock-hard as what I remember?

The average level for this kind of shooters, I suppose. I find it a bit easier than Xevious, though.

According to klov.com, it was also released as 'Mega Force' one year later. The game you mentioned seems to be a different one.

That looks quite similar to Astro Warrior on the master system. That was a decent shooter for an early title.

Yeah, I like that one too :-).I'm gonna have to fire that one up later. It got a reasonble Speccy conversion too IIRC. I downloaded the Elite collection on iOS on the weekend and I'm sure it's on that (so it's probably a denied game on here now)

I believe you're correct. Unless you compare the two screens I can understand why I thought it was ASO. That screenshot you posted is very similar to the first level of ASO.

IIRC it was supposed to have a full box release, but I think Retro Gamer listed it as being very rare, but it's budget release was fairly common? It's deffo on the iOS Elite package that I downloaded though.

It's still in the archive for downloading though :-)

Prince of Persia on PS3. Hmmm, not bad at all - lots to do, cool music, and the battles work really well (Not just button-bashing.) Thumbs up for that one, so I'll be playing it some more. I think I've got use to the weird black-line character graphics now as well.

Also played a bit of Haze, but that one's rather yawn-inducing (although I like the blurry drug-shot bits / hallucinations, etc.) Think I've seen all that one has to offer now though, so back in the box it goes.

You probably have. It's pretty samey all the way through but there is a change point in there somewhere. Disappointing and could have been really expanded upon in the story and possibly made into a series of games. But they kind of screwed that up in the entire game.
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

Well played a few missions on San Andreas yesterday, bought Zero's shop and switched it off, and played Megadrive games instead.

Today not played anything really, just tested my GTA Vice/Liberty City Double Pack to make sure they worked this time, but I'll have to wait another day for my 64 MB memory card to turn up as my old 8 MB one is full up and has been for a while, infact I had to delete a couple of saves so I could start my 100% Vice City rampage (which I really hate doing I never delete any saves ever usually ). I saved over my second San Andreas save because there were no more saves on the card I was willing to sacrifice.

I also got my Worlds Smallest Cars today (can't remember if I mentioned them in another thread or not?), they're basically tiny little toy cars, but they're solar powered, put them down in sunlight and watch them go, the second they hit the shade they stop. Pretty fun distraction for a few mins really.
