Dull picture after composite fix.
Yesterday I did the composite fix on my 48k+ but the picture looks duller than it used to be, instead of the white Sinclair Copyright screen being white it kinda looks grey, as though the contrast is all knocked off.
Is it possible to further mod the Speccy to brighten the composite signal?

If I put a capacitor in series with the composite, I get a dark or even black screen.
So if there is one in your mod, you could try it without the capacitor.
Another possibility is that the signal is somehow shorted to ground.
Or maybe the cable you are using isn't good (enough).
My mod is, as far as I know the most basic. I disabled the 5v feed for the tuner, disconnected the existing RF connection and connected the composite signal to the center pin on the RF out. All of which appears to be fine - i.e no visible shorts. I have no capacitors installed at all, it's a simple direct feed of the raw composite signal.
