Which are the RAREST games?

edited February 2005 in Games
Which Spectrum games would command a bit of money (for an Spectrum game anyway) if they were to come up on ebay or auction?

How about 'ID', 'Deus Ex Machina' or 'Ultimate The Collected Works'?

Any gone for silly money?

BTW I have all 3 above.

Bubbler by Ultimate is one of the rare ones that costs a packet to get hold of.

I couldnt play the game for toffee in emulation so I dont think I would cough up for it - unless I win the lottery that is - and then still would only be a maybe. :)

I would say Trans-Am on Sinclair Silver Label is probably the rarest Ultimate title to obtain. Its non-existant on eBay whereas at least Bubbler shows its face now and again.

I see what you mean but I'm talking about ORIGINAL released games. Toki only went so far as some mock up screens. A tape with 2 mock up screens on wouldn't be worth anything.

Yes it would - to some strange people who still live with their aging parents, albeit the parents being confined to the dark little compartment under the stairs.

I wouldn't go so far as to say Bubbler and Martionoids were rare, just stupendiously expensive for whatever reason... sort after....

Indeed most rare games would be MIA as already suggested... I think many of the remaining rare tapes are probably from the early 80s... better if they work too....

    Cheers

Many of the early titles by CCS are quite rare. I've come across some Speccy freaks collecting these games. I think its the same for Automata.

Mire Mare. Rumour has it that it does exist, somewhere!!!!!

Life of Yesod. The 3rd part of the Yesod sequence, which I was told was an unreleased game, years ago.

Parisian Nights. Fergus McNeill's unreleased game. Has it advanced further than a concept?

Now here's my list of rare games that may actually exist.

Trans Am (Sinclair Silver release G29/S). Surely someone has it somewhere. :)

The Remix version of Kokotoni Wilf. Has anyone got any info on that?

And finally, the version of Jet Set Willy that actually does feature the screens known as "Tree Tops - The Sequel", "Crusoe Corner", etc. Umm I'll stop there ...

    Is it all a dream?

    Necros.
