Originally Green Jesus Day commemorated the time of me telling the story of me recieving a rather savage beating as a child in school, at the hands of a teacher who was an insane victorian style catholic ex-nun.
The reason for the beating, I coloured Jesus in green in my colouring book, I didn't know I wasn't supposed to colour the mighty Jeebus green. As at about 5 years old you're not usually told the strict rules governing artistic freedom with pre printed pictures in a sh*te cheap ass colouring book.
Anyway since that rather horrible day Green Jesus Day has become a time of happiness mirth and merriment :D
Instead of a rememberance of a rather (probably illegal) unpleasant moment of classroom discipline. If only I'd known about lawsuits back then (Or the fact that what that crazy old bitch did to me was so soooo wrong)? :D
This is infact only the 3rd Green Jesus Day on record since the original telling of the story (meaning this is the 4th GJD), but here's to many more :lol:

The whole thread locking religious nastiness happened on december 3rd when I told the green jesus story I think. I put it on the calendar for the next year the same day it happened thus it became Green Jesus Day. As for the initial beating it could have happened in December as I remember it was very cold around about the time we got the "Catching Sunshine" colouring books that were the catalyst for the unfortunate events to follow.
I think I may go burn the school down when I go back home.....even though this happened about 30 years ago I'm now thinking maybe it's not that funny at all? I got beat to sh*t by that loopy f**ker who wasn't fit to teach at all, and I didn't say anything because I assumed I'd done something wrong? I was a little kid it was the early 80's, and I assumed because I did wrong maybe what happened to me was normal?
I'm actually quite annoyed now, I got a beating, what about the kids in catholic care who got much much worse?
Don't let that ruin Green Jesus Day though it's a parady of something ridiculous that shouldn't have happened, I'm still alive, and I didn't get a priests knob up my arse or owt like that :D

My youngest is five years old. I would happily hospitalise anyone who lay so much as a finger on her! Different times, I s'pose.
