ZX Spectrum for Windows 8 released

edited December 2012 in Announcements
Hi All!

I?m excited to announce the release of ZX Spectrum hi-score Collection for Windows Store 8.

The collection includes the three games I published 25 years ago for Spectrum:
  • Rocco (Rocky)
  • West Bank
  • Capitan Sevilla

If you have Windows 8, you can download it free from the Windows Store at:

http://apps.microsoft.com/webpdp/en-us/app/zx-spectrum-collection/92461f1a-5b20-4fe8-8f4a-984a138de47f

Besides playing these games in your PC, you can also enjoy the tape loading simulation included for each game.

The emulator behind the scenes is written in .NET and is the same emulator I used for Windows Phone 7.

I?m open to hear any comment, suggestion and feedback.

    I gave this a try.

Looks great and would make a great front end for loading of any .sna z80 and tap files etc.

Will you be making it so users can load they own collections.

Looks good, but I don't have Windows 8 and I wonder how many of us do.

West Bank gave me many hours of fun back in the day. :)

    Thanks for your comments!

I enjoyed developing this emulator almost as much as developing the spectrum games a "few" years ago.

Although development tools nowadays are far easier than those assemblers for Spectrum, some times I miss reloading the whole environment by tape after a crash

Definitely, the sound of the spectrum tape is something that evokes me those good years, so I took specially care emulating the game loading in this emulator.

    Greetings!
