Is it just me but all three copies I have of this compilation are notoriously hard to load, specifically Strangeloop and Brian Bloodaxe but the rest are dodgy in parts too, doesnt matter what deck im using or what volume setting, its a bugger and no mistake!

Strangeloop on my copy was always very much hit and miss, even when the tape was brand new. The turbo loader on that one's ridiculously fast, I guess the tape they used was also ridiculously cheap. :)

Strangeloop was really dodgy on my copy BITD. Brian Bloodaxe often crashed on loading too.

The rest were fine as I remember.

Actually I had far fewer problems with Now Games 1 than I did with some of the games on the 'Off The Hook' compilation - think I only got Blue Max to load once. Speedlock and cheapo tape is never a good combination.

Funnily enough, Stangeloop and Brian Bloodaxe were two that loaded ok on my copy, used to play them both quite a lot. I do remember having trouble loading Falcon Patrol 2 though...

Yeah, it's excellent. Probably my favourite of all.

Now Games is a very good compilation.

4 really top-notch games (LOM, Brian Bloodaxe, Strangeloop and Pyjamarama)
1 pretty good (FP II)
1 a bit ropey (Arabian Nights)

In the screen what one earth is the green man grabbing. I always thought it was a man in a helmet but his hand is way too big.

I've wondered that. It looks like a spacesuit he's grabbing and I always thought he was green because he was running out of air :p The spacesuit is way too small though, given that it's in the foreground.

It might be a visual metaphor, rather than a strict rendering. Some sort of arty toss.
