I own 1.5 mill of em  (seems like that , some days) .. I got rid of mine , but they do keep re-appearing along with horizons survival / scrabble..
I know someone that gets stuff off freecycle and sells it on ebay :o
people are like vultures on it and there are professional freecyclers that always take and never give. put something on there.. within 1-2 minutes you get a reply as they sit on it..
I used to use freecycle, but too many will list on ebay. if I could guarentee 100% they wouldn't and would use / keep the item.. then I'd list far more on it.
I remember giving away 2 17" monitors on it.. but only listed 1... because 1 bloke was really gobby , and ugrateful he got the smokers covered one.. and the more polite one got the almost new looking one, all down to manners.
Just one thing wrong with it, the p key doesn't work. I'm guessing that it will need a new membrane?
might as well gimme it , or I'll buy it for 5p and a twix .. it's beyond repair :)
reminds me of the boxed QL I got , it was ?36.. got there only to find out it had a new ?15? membrane put in the week earlier :) ah well if you will finish an auction at 3:17 on a week day .. doesn't help with the price :p
Yeah, those Ultimate Collected Works compilations are worth a bit... but not anything near what they're asking! I think they've read one of those rarity guides in Retro Gamer and took it too literally.
A lot of Ultimate stuff goes for more than it ought to really since they're not exactly *that* rare. I've had two copies of Collected Works as well in just as good condition (flogged both for about 30 quid or so). There are loads of titles that are much harder to find.
Even the postage is a bit steep. :D for ?200 you think they could afford a jiffy bag and a second class stamp.
nah , you have pay for insurance / signed for for that amount :) , I did for some coins recently that sold for more. always better to do it separately anyway.. due to if you allow foreign bidders.
still not got a complete set of this, but I refuse to pay that much
blimey can't beleive it reached this so far (not my auction!)
wonder how much I could sell my signed copies on C64, Amstrad and speccy
c64 would do well .. funny thing is I got one here for the speccy , but the lid is c64 sticker.. I'm guessing they put the wrong sticker on, or the doris in boots was a bit dopey :)
I used to have 'The Great Giana Sisters' on cassette. I ended up binning my 64/spectrum collection around 96/97 (before it was retro, just...old). That games worth a bit now I think.
the problem is, the backs, you don't see em.. I would have bid.. but not that much.
I wanted "ID" and got a mold filled one recently, that went in the bin. so I'm a bit wary with certain folk and their "descriptions" being well not really general.
