    Thank you once more guys!

    Jo?o Manuel (that's his name, but now that I think of it with an english accent, all I can think of is Fawlty Towers), is ok! he was born with 50 cm, and 3,380 kg (not sure how that translates to british measures).

    the mother is also alright, and we brought him home today. he's a quiet lad so far... and right now the only trouble he is giving us is waking him up to eat... any ideas how to wake up a 2 days old baby?

    and here I was thinking my first complain would be that he doesn't sleep! :D

    About 3.7 tons :-). Don't worry, we know you meant three thousand odd grams ;-)

    It's the inconsistent use of the comma in expressing numbers 3,380kg is perfectly correct when you use the comma in the same way as we use a decimal point (3.380kg). I'm a maths teacher and it drives me crazy as I get more and more pupils who are from countries where this is the norm.


    Anyway, I won't hijack the thread...

    Congratulations again!
    I remember the first few days with mine and they're very precious. Enjoy them because they change day to day.
