Looking for PC2086 OS disks

I've seen in another forum a member that purchased an Amstrad PC2086 with empty HDD and no software disks. He has installed MS-DOS, but it's having problems trying to make Windows 2.1 work.

Does anybody have images from the original disks that came with these computers? I'm curious and I was thinking about trying it with PCem.

Also, does anybody have images from the disks that came with other Amstrad PC 2xxx or 3xxx?

On the shelf just behind me I have ......
6 disks that are labelled, PC2086 1988 Amstrad PLC
1 msdos disk and 5 windows disks.
Not sure if they still work though.
Whats the best software to try imaging them with ?

I guess rawwrite should do the work, and I remember some program called WinImage. If you're using linux, you could do it using dd.

Just remember to protect your floppy disks so you can't damage them.

I've got images of the disks from all the Amstrad PCs (including the 2086, and the Sinclair PC200). PM me if you want copies.

Thanks to John Elliot, I've got now the MS-DOS boot images from a variety of Amstrad PCs.

The problem is that I wanted to check out if I was able to make Windows 2 work in a 2086, but I've got no Windows disks. It is (fairly) easy to obtain a copy of Windows, but I wanted to know if Amstrad included any special file (=driver or custom software) for their computers.

Can anyone confirm if their Windows disks were "standard" ones or had any special software?

    I've got PC2086 windows disks.
I can't find anything to image them, so I've zipped the contents of each. Can email them to you if you want.
    Cheers

I've got the PC2086 disks now. Everything works fine, and I guess there were no difference between Windows "standard" disks and the "Amstrad" ones.

I'm checking everything using PCem, the next step would be using MESS.
