If Alessandro was a Speccy he would've crashed by now. :p
If someone knows of a good way of saving all these webpages so we can review them in the future, please let us know. A couple years ago there was a Firefox plugin that could save a webpage as a PNG. Dunno if there's a better, recommended way to store them for historical purposes.

Well, I decided to celebrate Speccy's anniversary a bit different way, considering there also recently was the 100th anniversary since RMS Titanic went to the ocean floor.
Guess how.
Made this video.
Oh, and not only it's Speccy's birthday... sq/skrju also celebrates one today! Which is magic, considering his huge popularity on the Speccy demoscene.
I loved the detailed credits.
I am intrigued by John Mathieson's documentation.
Can you share?

That is a great Company Document of the King's Parade/Enderby Mill era.
More offices than I imagined and a great team.
Lovely set of photos of Brennan, Mathieson and Cheese at King's Parade.
Legends all of them.

Yes indeed. This original Sinclair Research Ltd document has 26 pages and is the company?s directory of 1982 with pictures of all six offices and profiles of all 44 employees with a portrait picture of each of them.

5 pages of the August 1992 issue of ?Sinclair QL World? (QLW) magazine including a report on the ZX Spectrum 10th birthday party by Simon N Goodwin (cover plus 2 pages). This party was held in May 1992 at the Boat House Pub in Cambridge. Star guest included John Mathieson (then working at Flare II Ltd developing the ATARI JAGUAR) and MGT founder Bruce Gordon. John presented a white 48K model, produced to celebrate the millionth machine produced, and a unique Spectrum Plus, also moulded in white plastic as an experiment when Sinclair considered changing the case colour for the new model. This magazine scan includes a report of a QL users meeting held in London, the 1992 ?Instant? list of QL traders (where my former company COWO Electronic is listed) and the ?Micro Ads? page which hold an ad by my former company offering my QL product range of that time.
All PDFs are based on scans of originals and are fully searchable (OCR?d).
Probably need to wait until 2017 when it will be 35 years! :-o

I do not understand...
Spectrum is now b11111 (dec 31) years old now. Next year it will be b100000 (dec 32) years old. You are all non-binary thinking humans! A shame!
April 23rd, what does this date say to us? Saint George's Day, The Bayerische Reinheitsgebot (regarding the ingredients of beer) was signed 500 years ago, William Shakespeare died on that day 400 years ago, the Sinclair ZX Spectrum was launched 34 years ago. Great day in history!
The QL’s official life span was from January 1984 to April 1986 when Amstrad axed the QL. Well, I’ve seen some Samsung QLs manufactured in May 1986, but those were most likely built that month on behalf of the last valid order from Sinclair Research Ltd.
Although 2 ¼ years sound like a short period and I cannot remember how long it felt back in the 80s, I personally felt exactly how long it is when I judge the “QL is 30” activities which started on the QL’s 30th launch anniversary back on January 12th 2014. Even I was busy in both life and work I’ve spent quite an amount of time (several hundred hours) for and with the QL during the last 26 months. To name just the major milestones like the “QL is 30” website http://www.qlis30.org.uk/, “QL IS 30 2014 – THE DISTRIBUTION”, the ZX-TEAM-meetings 2014, 2015 and 2016 in Germany, meeting Rick Dickinson and David Karlin again in 2014 and 2015, attending La Nuit des Musées 2014 in Switzerland, the QLis30 dinner and workshop in Scotland, testing and integrating new versions of SMSQ/E and SMSQmulator, updates to QL/E and THE DISTRIBUTION, this was a very intense QL period, at least for me.
Today is the release of the final version 3.04 of “QL IS 30 2014 – THE DISTRIBUTION”. This marks the end of my “QL is 30” activities.

Fantastic, I will definately watch all of them as I arrived a bit late and couldn't visit all anyway.
Are these all talks held that day?
Yes, I'm not blaming anybody but the birthday is a bit lame this year. Website not updated, no goodies, no news, even no new anniversary thread.
Anyway long live to Speccy and let's hope it'll be better next year :)
Probably need to wait until 2017 when it will be 35 years! :-o

I did this demo specially for the birthday, and there was a birthday thread.
Or 2022, when it will be depressing...
