My brother played this for months on end, he managed to build a castle and had a huge underground cavern, he stopped playing when he ran out of things to build!
My son is a huge Minecraft addict (both on xbox360 and PC) and amazes me with his knowledge of it. This knowledge in turn got passed down to my other four kids so you can imagine the conversations at the dinner table! :-o:lol:
Me? Well, seeing as everyone was raging about it I decided to take the plunge (a month or so back) and downloaded/installed it on my laptop. Messed about with it for about an hour, then uninstalled it. It bored the hell out of me. I couldn't get into it. Each to there own I guess lol.
I've been playing it on the Xbox. It's pretty addictive. I haven't really done much except build a 3 storey house and mine a 15x15 pit as far down as I could go to get the diamond and obsidian.
I'll probably end up doing a creative world (? where you get everything and don't have to mine at all) at some point and just go a bit mental with it.
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

big fan of the xbox version, just picked it up again as they?ve added a lot more of the pc features.
its a refreshing change to have great free updates on a console.
i tried the creative mode, and had grand designs for a city, but realised i had unlimited tnt, so spent all my time trying to create a massive explosion. :-D
Just mining stuff and building whatever you feel like :)

I love Minecraft on the 360, although it's been a while since I've fired it up. I'd like to get back to it now that they've added the creative mode. Like VanTammen, I didn't get it at all at first, but then something "clicked" and I found it hard to put down. Insanely addictive. A first-person virtual Lego world. Awesome.
I did try Second Life briefly, but couldn't get into it...
I've heard of Second Life, but I have no idea what it is. Maybe that's a good thing? :p

Well, except in Second Life you have to pay real money if you want to be able to build anything.
I got Minecraft about a week ago. It's too damned addictive. Some friends run a private server so we do our stuff there. I already have built my wizard tower.

So it's like Second Life but without the sex? ;)
Second Life has got sex in it? Why do nobody tell me?!
