Why no 'Avalon' loading screen?

I was always disappointed that 'Avalon' & 'Dragontorc' were missing loading screens. I wonder if Steve Turner, when he sees this, could tell us why? Time constraints maybe?

So I set about making my own! Funnily enough, I started this the day BEFORE the author, Steve Turner, joined the forum. I hope you like it! :)

Nice one; a game with such a strong "character" really needed a loading screen up to its quality.

Glad you like it people. Thanks! I'm just hoping Steve Turner likes it when he logs on next! It was odd, the day I started this I was thinking "It would be great if, when I've finished, I could show it to Steve Turner!" Next day, he joins up! :)

I want to record it to tape and load it into a real Spectrum. I thought it had to be a tzx? If you can convert a tap to a sound file and record it to tape then that's all I want to do

Yes you can; of course the TAP format encloses the game data with the standard ROM loader (i.e. does not make use of any custom loading scheme), otherwise you would need a TZX.

Yes, this should be possible. How "authentic" do you want it to be?
More precisely, do you like entering the "secret" codes from the table at the start of the game, or would you do just as nicely without them?
