Left it at a mates house after playing it the one and only time, he's probably still got it somewhere.
It was a christmas gift from my stepdad I think? It stayed in the box for about 2 years before me and my mate opened it up and laughed hysterically at it for an hour or so :D
Next time I go home I may try and get it back off him if he still has it, not that I really want it, but it'd be a good curio I guess.
I've got a set of this thing on my big Hperspin set up! I'd never heard of it before so I asumed it was an early cd based system. I had no idea it was VHS! It's emulated using an add-on for the Daphne emulator and it's really not worth the effort. I played a haunted hose game for a few minutres, then everything crashed and I've not bothered with it since. Interesting machine though :-)
Had one. Utter ****e. It was basically a video of some fighter planes. Every now and then a 'target' with a honking great flashing white circle appeared. You 'shot' them with the light gun and it would register a point. I think I might have played it through once, maybe twice.
That's gamester81 in the review. I used to listen to his podcast AllGenGamers he collects all kinds of obscure consoles.
I remember there was an ongoing joke about him waiting 3 years to get his Pandora which he had paid for in full on the day of pre-ordering. He was getting emails from the Pandora team asking him to pay more so he could get it sooner and they even spammed him with info on buying the new upgraded pandora despite him not even being sent the original.
The Pandora finally arrived out of the blue almost 3 years to the day that he paid them right around the time they were starting to get fairly high profile guests (for retro gaming) on the podcast like Al Lowe and Walter Day. It may have just been a coincidence but I got a hunch they realised that a popular Retro Gaming Podcast was bringing light to their shoddy delivery and they fast tracked one to him .
I bid, ?6.75, but ebay booted me off and made me sign in again. Bah. My bid didn't register. All the others on ebay are a bit too much. Ah well, it's another console to put on my wish-list. :)
I reckon I could have half an hours fun wiv it anyhow! :D

I got outbid too, but I'd decided to bid on one with a box.
Well done. How much did you win it for, if ya don't mind me asking?
?15. I was the only bidder, so I got it at it's asking price. ?10 postage though which seemed a bit sterp, but I've no idea how large or heavy the box will be. Everything seems to still be in it's original bags too :-)
I'll update when it arrives. All I need now is an old crt telly and a VHS player

The box is pretty big actually from what I remember?
You get that sh*tty flying game with it, funny thing is there's previews for some other "games" on the tape before it starts.
If you shoot the screen during the previews you can score points before you even start playing properly
Those who have bought or who will buy one of these based on my starting this thread, lease apologise to your wives/significant others for me on my behalf.

I remember always wanting another vhs based games thing that had a space ship shaped gun that would pop apart if the on screen enemies hit you. No idea what it was called though.
I remember one of my dad's friends lending us an Action Max. This one had all the electronics integrated into the gun and thus was much bigger than the one in the video. It was also more futuristic looking.
It's arrived today :-) It looks alot larger than I expected it to and it feels suitably cheap and tacky.
On the other hand, the City Link driver just seemed to have thrown the box over my back fence and left it on one of my bins! He then scribbled "blue bin" on the card and that was it. No one's signed for it. That's another bad delivery from them. My brother's had similar problems with them too :(

Don't say that; we're about to switch to using them at work after having loads of issues with DPD!
I saw someone selling a job lot of lightgun+vhs type games on gumtree a few months ago for around ?25 and I laughed. If I knew some of you nut jobs would pay ?15 each I'd have wiped that smile off my face! ;)
That looks pretty much like poor fella's laserdisc game system, just video with graphics overlay (obviously) lacking the interactive chapter switching. I think I remember seeing them for sale back in the days but surprisingly I didn't got too tempted about them...

Oh yeah, I don't disagree there. This is just the first time I've seen one, or any games console that uses VHS as a game format.

I won't be bidding.
