Me and my carpooler talking about the traffic and some nice situations like that move to the left from the car in front of me and the car before the trafficlight.
Nope, the other way around: bicycle paths in most other countries are crap... :p
For example in neighboring Germany: entrances/exits to car parking spots "cut through" bicycle paths in a vertical sense. So while cycling, you bump down, and then up again, every 30 meters or so. It's better from town to town, but in general this design sucks. Letting cyclist hobble up & down 'cause car owners can't be bothered to take a 10 cm. dive when they leave the house. I mean, suspension does come standard on a car, right?
In Belgium: in some areas it's like the Netherlands, in some parts it's all small cobble stones (hellish for both bicycle & rider), and in areas where steep slopes are common (like the Ardennes) bicycle paths suddenly disappear...
Btw video is much to tame, I prefer those Russian road rage vids!
Mind you that the neighbourhood where the video starts ( first turn left) is totally rebuilt right now. Other neighbourhoods where they have more sparetime than me are in the wrong direction so I won't drive there.
I'd have trouble getting used to driving that slow. 30km/h is only 18mph. In UK, a built up area like that would be 30mph or 48km/h. The most insane speed limits here are narrow country roads that are only wide enough for 1 car and plenty of blind corners. They're usually 60mph or 96km/h. Great fun though. The practice around here is to beep your horn when approaching a hairpin blind corner at 60mph. If you don't hear a horn beep back, put your foot to the floor and prey!
No, actually I didn't - I googled the name shown at the bottom of the yellow town sign at 0:06: Kranenburg.
And even that was hard to recognize. I now see that it must have said "Frasselt" at the top but it's too blurry.
Funny you'd say this though as I wasn't able to read the annotations. You see, for about a month now, I had been watching YouTube with HTML5 instead of Flash (their infamous HTML5 test which you can activate/deactivate on their site) and in the last few days I had already noticed an issue with annotations: the annotation boxes appear fine - the text inside doesn't, it's missing. So, just a few minutes ago I decided to deactivate the HTML5 test as I hadn't really noticed any better performance.
Soooo ... does that mean that this computer (browser rather) is using one setting rather than the other? Where does one change it, to be able to view the annotations?

around here near schools the limit is 20, they were gonna bring it in over all around here.. it's err 2nd or 3rd gear that the max speed on it is 30mph also? I forget.
I did use a sat nav last year in ireland with the hire car, as it was KM's. years ago it was all country roads with narrow bridges with twists in but they did fly over type roads with all that EU money ;) . I remember getting lost in redbourne (thx probably knows it) and it was like a stage out of a rally game, pitch black / windy roads.. but then at leas you had headlights from other traffic, pity most don't dip!!
I am tempted to get a dash cam after some of the "driving" I have seen of late.

There's a large blue button saying "Participate in the HTML5 test" (or whatever it says in English, I get force-localized content based on my IP). I pressed that ... a couple of weeks ago. And my annotations were gone. Now that I've "un-pressed" it they're back.
I'd say you must have pressed it at some time, Norman. Maybe you forgot? Or your browser needs some updating ... I'm using Firefox, latest version.

What!!!! you recognize Helmond right away? Hats off for you!
Date and time were still incorrect, but I had to try the camera.
Timing was +4 months (day was ok) and +2 hours
Kinda funny though how close it is to "Keulen" when you look at a map of Europe. Frankfurt seems farther away from me.
Nicely done.
Cologne is only 127 km away from where I live. Helmond is 30 km, but Helmond-Cologne is about 140 km
Any chance you could convert this into a minigame? 1K dash?

turbo outrun :)
With laserharp support?
Considering that it's Helmond I was kinda surprised that we didn't see at least one person getting mugged or shot during the 5 minute video. :-P
It does look quite scary to me if I look at that. :p

In the village there was a speedcontrol.
comment in the film:
Near cityboarder of Frasselt
Entering 30 km/u zone
A nice waving truckdriver
Rolling to 30 km/u
And at the left the speedcontrol.

You maps googled on FRASSELT!
Venlo is indeed less than 60 km south.

Not my puter so not sure whether to mess with the settings, good to know for future use though :-)
When you view a YouTube vid you get a circle of circles going in a circle, right?
Well, I was pressing the down key to scroll the window to better see the video but instead the circle of circles started moving with the arrow keys.
IT'S A SNAKE GAME! :-o Go for the pebble elsewhere on the screen.
