The baby hasn't even been born yet but BBC News are already wanking themselves all over it. I think i'll avoid news for the next week cos they'll be nothing else except this.

FFS, for once there was a program I actually wanted to watch (Jungle Outlaws: The Chainsaw Trail) and they cancel it for this crap!

seriously, people hugging each other in the street, who've been camped outside the hospital for 7 days?? embarrassing.

Quote from an American hanging around at the event from Radio 5:

"She had a boy! That was AMAZING! I thought it would be a girl!!!".

    1) She was pregnant, a baby is a likely outcome
    2) The odds are about 50-50
    3) Can't see the CIA drafting you into the secret service like they did with Uri Geller.

Next they are going to get an enormous barrel and scrape it live on air it seems.

Well, this morning I've been at a medical center and they've performed a sonography on my wife.

Maybe it's because I'm spaniard, but that baby seemed more important to me than royal baby. Any royal baby (including spanish royal babies).

Other babies from some friends and other members of my family also seemed more important. Maybe we the spaniards don't have such a love for kings, queens and those things.
    I was there, too
An' you know what they said?
Well, some of it was true!

    ^^ congrats.

not just England though yanks are going ballistic for this apparently. but yeah it's overkill. the top 5 stories on the sky news website were ALL about the baby (they were yesterday, might've changed now)

btw maybe I'm being dim, but can someone explain that Frankie boyle joke?

No it's not just Spaniards who don't give a flying eff about the "Royal Baby" It's anybody else out there with half a brain.

Here there was some dopey tart on the news this morning all excited cos' she had her baby at the same time, who cares?

If all these Heat mag reading spackers took a deep breath and a minute to really think they would realize that these people are not their friends, they are not their neighbours, and just because they happen to be spunked all over the front page of the Sun and all over the TV NO! THEY DO NOT KNOW THEM PERSONALLY!!!

These wonderful Royals get a free ride off them

I wonder if any of them care that fat Jim from the council estate down the roads missus dropped a baby at 6am, or Panjit Gupta from flat 29 of bolloxpharm house's missus dropped a baby at 7:15am?

I bet they don't give a sh*t? So why give a f**k about some big eared inbred and his wannabe posh bint dropping a baby?
    Every night is curry night!

If you check the news, aformentioned Gallagher has been reported to show no interest in paying child support to [one of] his (supposed?) children.

Or, I think it must be related to that somehow?

Well I for one could not care less about the baby or the royal family. That institution should have been done away with a long time ago. They serve no purpose and live a life of luxury without having to work for it. It would be interesting if there was a survey done to see how many people in the UK feel the same. I like to believe that most people feel the same way as me but looking at all of the media attention it does make me wonder.

tbh I would gladly forego all the luxury part just to escape the celebrity/being in the media spotlight/bodyguards 24/7 etc stuff... I agree they serve virtually no purpose though (unless there's 'things' we're not being told, but I'm not a conspiracy nut so that's doubtful imo)
