Most useless tape ever...

I got my hands on this tape, and thought: there must be SOMETHING usefull on it; "I can't believe it is only to test if the taperecorder works"...

I was wrong...

There is a hidden game - hold down T, H, R and O on the "Tape Load O.K." screen and it takes you into an updated +2 version of "Thro' the Wall".

    That is funny! :-)
I particularly like the "IMPORTANT" heading at the top!

I had this. I don't think I ever loaded it up at the time, even out of curiosity.

I think it's just a simple test to test the azimuth ? as they were probably gettin loads of machines back with out of alignment tape decks.

remember the amstrads have onboard test right ? so that wasn't needed on the tape

Well, of course it didn't do anything useful, because your tape deck was working fine already. If you load it on a broken tape deck, though, it gives you a full page of diagnostics about what's wrong, complete with a full-motion video of how to adjust the azimuth screw. It's quite impressive, really...

No it usually says something like 'The Beatles' or 'Level 42'.

My taperecorders don't have a level 42, the Spectrums ULA can't handle that volume!
