A few notables nobody has mentioned, so I will :-)

    Devil Man, great (but violent)

Not a massive anime fan but thumbs up to this one.

Ok ... ok ... I am going to assume everyone was looking the other way when I dropped the comment in this thread earlier ...

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. That was good.
Dominion Tank Police, only ever saw 4 parts on Manga Video, but was hilarious
Just don't bother with New Dominion Tank Police.
Urotsukidoji 1 & 2 (I remember these, gross nasty grotty little movies but were they on C4 too??)
I don't remember them being on C4. There are 4 parts now, Part 3 used to be on Sci-Fi fairly regularly. Doesn't have Amanojyaku or his sister in it at all.
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

    3x3 Eyes, excellent occult/horror 7 parter...

Yup one of my faves. I had 13 episodes of it though, and it still didn't seem like it was done with. It ended with Benares beating the sh*t out of Yakumo, and that was pretty much it?

    Haha! The knob landmines

Ranma 1/2, first four series (excellent Rumiko Takahashi comedy, series 1-4 were directly from the Manga, after that, new artists and stories, not quite so good, and the movies, ughh)

Always wanted to watch Ranma probably since I was about 12? Never got round to it though.

Yeah I watched the fully uncensored subtitled versions a few years back when me and Vincent were talking about them in another thread. I thoroughly understand why the English dubbed versions make little or no sense in the long run, and that would be because there's about 30% of every one of the series cut out of them.

I've tried getting into later stuff... but really only enjoyed things like FMA, Bleach was ok, Naruto rubbish, loved the Death Note live action movies (not seen the anime)

Still have a soft spot for Inu Yasha, I'm quite annoyed though as Netflix had them all on there, and then they took them down when I was about 1/3rd of the way through, now all that's left is a couple of the crappy movies. Liked Samurai Champloo as well, although I am well aware that this series has it's fair share of haters :D

Hmmm I never realised it had that many. I'll have to give it a watch, even if it's still gonna feel a bit unresolved...

I'd recommend it, the early episodes are gut-bustingly funny and the characterisation is first class. It starts to grate from s5 onwards though.

Not watched Samurai Champloo, again, one I should give a go. Inu Yasha was another Takahashi job - guess i'm a bit biased, nothing i've seen really compares to the first few series (and mangas) of Ranma.

they also put out a UK version of northstar as a series, and the music was supplied by reinforced

(guy who made that died recently)

I forgot about this , but it featured on an the deadly chambers of sound album

a lot of the jungle / dnb people I knew were into anime and the kung fu films as they were a rich source of sampling.. IRC no u turn.. got found out / chased for sampling some manga

I used to play some imports of anime games on the snes , things like ranma also.. which was sorta like street fighter.. A guy in West London who had a comic shop used to get imports of manga, so a friend used to get loads of it off him.

my fav game manga related was probably ghost in a shell on ps1

The Ranma games on SNES weren't great imo (you're right, two fighters and a Japan only RPG which was pretty poor) 3x3 Eyes (Joukyyen, or something, there were two) was great, even in Japanese was very playable. Couple of good Macross shooters too. And Sailor Moon arcade if you like beat-em-ups. Very Final Fight/Sengoku-ish...

GitS... that was where you controlled the spider-mech thing wasn't it lol.
Not a title we see very often tbh...

Nice, but pricey: set of Ranma mangas..

it was sort like that mech warrior game, but an interesting aspect on it.. we used to make a joke about someone's fav game being sailor moon and family dog on snes..

there was some utter crud jap imports on the snes though, considering the big N was so tight with who dev'd for them.

TBH good Anime games are few and far between. Even now it's just a constant dirge of crappy DBZ and Naruto titles. Even the PSP Bleach/FMA stuff was rubbish.

I did mean the Arcade Sailor Moon btw lol. Cracking beat-em-up. SNES one is crap. Literally BS :p

Another one I like is Ninja Scroll.

Fanmade trailer NSFW but includes a Nine Inch Nails tune at the end which makes it brilliant :D

Has anyone here seen or heard of the Virtua Fighter anime series (loosely based on the first two games)? I saw it, and... it's kind of all over the place (but then I'm not exactly a hardcore VF fan to begin with). Not only that, but only the first season (Episodes 1 to 24) was released in English, the second (25 to 35) being confined to Japanese only. 3 out of 5 stars for me. I'd rather go back and watch Grave of the Fireflies.
