So why is it only the 48K poor colour then when all the others are good and bright. I cant adjust the telly Iv looked.

I'm assuming you're referring to colour saturation? The 48k just has less saturation than the later machines. If you mean something else then no-one can help much without further details... what board version is it, photos of the screen etc...

Iv opened up the spectrum and see that its a issue 6a board. Iv also pasted the regulator so that's doing some good. I can understand about the colour not being so good as the 128k and +2. Im running it with a scart lead and it looks like a mirage on the picture. A sort of watery affect if you know what I mean. Would this be caused by the scart lead?

The 48K machine is not designed to work on a SCART lead without some modifications being made. A stock 48K machine uses an RF lead and tunes to channel 36 on a normal domestic TV set.

So, we will need details on any modifications that have been made also.

Only thing Iv touched so far is to do a comp mod. The scart I bought of ebay from Retro Computer Shack.

Ok, we need to know exactly what you've done. Can you post pictures? No point going any further until we know your modification actually works.
    Oh bugger!<br>
