I may get mine on the launch day but depending on weither it's FedEx or UPS that deliver it I may not get to play it that day anyway since UPS usually don't show up til' after 11am, and FedEx deliver way later than UPS, and I work nights? So it may turn up as I'm getting ready for bed, or while I'm asleep?
Boooo! :(
Hope I'm off the day it shows up, then I can have a late night, or afternoon as it were :D
Well they certainly didn't preview the best of what's available West Coast Classics for me all the way, and maybe a bit of that Mexican Station for some Latin flavor :D
The other 3 kinda sucked...
Although I'm sure Rebel FM will have some hilarious stereotypical redneck banter on it, not sure I can suffer the bluegrass and country music type stuff to hear it though? :D

I hated K-Rose, but it created the right kind of atmosphere when heading out into the sticks.
I notice the Rolling Stone interview with Rockstar mentions that this next GTA will feature their first ever pop radio station. What about Flash from Vice City? Wasn't that a pop station?!

I used to love the sports commentator on the radio in SA but i can't remember his name, he was hilarious.
Weren't all the previews of GTA IV saying it was really good? Even the reviews I saw were giving it 9 or 10 out of 10...
yes, they were, and once I had played the game, I seemed to be in a very small minority (at the time, within weeks of the launch) to say that they did not like it, and got stomped on by fanboys for my views on some forums
but, even so... I am quite hopeful this has got the mystery ingredient that makes it a fun game
Daren, I didn't read your spoiler (thanks for putting it in a spoiler box - I don't want to spoil the experience of the game, especially as there're so few games I'm looking forward to at the moment), or the interview, so can you tell me if they confirmed what machine they played GTA V on, and if they said catagorically that those screenshots were from the XBox 360 or PS3 or whatever?

I tweeted one of the guys from IGN who had the hands-on preview, Alex Simmons:
"Hi, what platform did you play the game on. Also, the screenshots in the article, are they current gen? Thanks."
"PlayStation 4 and Xbox One may be arriving in November but GTA V is already poised to upstage the pair of them. With respect to the many tremendously exciting games headed to PS4 and Xbox One later this year, GTA V already feels like a potent reminder that ambition, confidence and, above all, gameplay beats a brand new box of chips and wires every time.
Never mind November; I suspect the next generation will start when GTA V says it is does."
I think one of the things that let GTA IV down was the lack of rural environments
Hove Beach was okay, and there were one or two nice touches, but I liked being able to take a dirt bike out into the back of beyond in San Andreas, and careful does it or it's a long walk back if you kill your ride
oh, and also didn't they dick about with the release date too, I think that added to the let down
Comments
I seem to remember other pre-order launches, where supermarkets were getting the stock in sooner and selling cheaper

Meant to say excellent work on this earlier, but forgot until I read BiNMaN's thread! So yeah, nice work redballoon! :)
There will be a total of 240 songs for the radio, which is nice.
The other 3 kinda sucked...

heh, I likedthe country station on San Andreas
Yeah, K-Rose is great!
"All my exes live in Texas..." - got this bloody tune stuck in my head now.
"Mamma, don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys"

gardening with maurice and the wild traveler were my faves
also that lazlow interview with og loc. :D
Some new screens too...
I kind of hope lazlow ends up in this one, I think he's been in all of them since 3, and Maurice Chavez is hilarious as well.
Some of the new screens:
It's been on TV for a few days now :D
