They were awesome. Most of the set was made up of Badmotorfinger and Superunknown stuff. There was a fair bit of attitude amongst the audience though which put a bit of a dampener on things, but still a great night.
sorry just seen this. nice one, glad they put on a good oldskool set. still haven't checked out that new album they put out a while back though, seen some positive reviews and some less so...
Last night we watched the youtube show of Alice in Chains at Rock in Rio. Pretty good show but there were a few technical problems (Jerry's mic being too low on some songs and a fair number of second long skips). Duvall does some of the Layne-era songs really well, but others are pretty bad.
Watching the youtube of Pearl Jam's Lollapalooza now. Good stuff.
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

just WATCHING :P Conflict live at rebellion festival 2007, also got uk subs and the ruts on the same disc
I knew this guy who was obsessed with conflict. had a conflict tattoo and posters all over his house etc. he kept trying to get me to go and see them with him but I could just imagine myself getting glassed and stomped on at something like that so I never did :)

conflict were the most violent anarchist band ever, amazingly powerful, but if youre a decent person youre fine with them
in that video somebody throws someat (a skinhead i think) and colin says he'll see em outside afterwards cos hes busy right now lol
like me, definitely not a pacifist
****in love this song
so much power, agression, anger, emotion yet musicianship

second ever gig i went to (in 1986) was conflict and chumbawamba
another big influence
Professional Mel-the-Bell Simulator................"So realistic, I found myself reaching for the Kleenex King-Size!" - Richard Darling
heavy tune. I like the fact there's two vocalists, not enough bands do that. the intro reminded me slightly of Dead Kennedys 'Riot', not sure why but when I was in a phase of buying punk CDs I always bought more US stuff than UK for some reason. haven't bought a punk album for ages

Track: If You Have To Ask
This album is 22 years old today. Yikes!
Bugger me sideways! I remember borrowing that off a friend just after it came out, that and Nevermind were my initiation into guitar music (before that I was into hip hop)

I hijacked my brothers copies, first on tape, then on CD. I think he only got the CD back from me a couple of years ago. :-D

I taped it off a friend, I had one of those tape decks with an auto reverse button and if you pressed the button at the right point in the chorus of Suck My Kiss it flipped over to the exact point in Sir Psycho Sexy where it goes "suck my dick!"
Made me laugh when I was 16, anyway :D
Got it on CD a few months later... still have it after almost 22 years.

It amazes me you can listen to hardcore punk then play something like the the Shadows, you have a really wide range of listening tastes. Some people i know only listen to one genre/era of music.
