Just managed to get online for about five minutes. Was quite funny actually - I won the introduction race, and when I spawned into the game proper, another car exactly like ours spawned on top of us, complete with Lamar and myself inside. I got out and took a photo of myself with my other self, but unfortunately it wouldn't upload. Then it all went a bit mad and I was suddenly standing in a world with no textures. Awesome! :grin:
used to use it for an online pc game ,never used it for the xbox though.
might see about plugging a keyboard in though to make the lols and wtfs easier to type. :D

I do have a headset, but rarely use it as I'm that used to messaging everybody now and it still feels a bit odd sitting alone in my flat talking to the TV! :lol:

I imagine it doesn't actually detect words, just sound, so to jazz things up a bit you could try shouting something like, "ZOOBIDDY-ZOPPITTY-BOP-BOW". In fact, I'm gonna do just that when I have a go! :D
Just to mix things up a bit. It was a scope in the end and the bloody thing was hanging on the wall, I just had to select the correct gun, then select the hardware attached.
On a good note, I used it to great effect. That mission to get the plane... Man, that was easily the best GTA mission I've ever played!

Apparently, when you get your own apartment, if you sing in the shower via your headset you gain extra XP :lol:
i nearly started crying doing that, you get to a point where you know you have to do it in one sitting or waste more time.
i just wanted to go to bed. :D
Exactly that! I finished around 1:30 this morning! Like you say though, I felt that if I didn't do it all in one go, I'd have trouble picking up where I left off.
Must say that the sea is incredible when it gets rough (I sailed on surface as much as possible, to alleviate the boredom). Definitely the most realistically-behaving water I've seen in a game. :smile:
EDIT: A new patch is live. Let's see if I can get online properly now...
i did save up enough to buy a house in game but it deleted it on my next login, lost the money. :sad:
you can only one property at a time, and when i bought it i was refunded half the money from the garage i had, so you sort of trade up. so makes it worth it to buy a cheap place first.
the is a shower which washes the blood off you, and a few other cool stuff which i wont spoil.
also of note is if you got a pre order copy of the game, you get a free elegy rh8. you have to look on eyefind at a car website, and its listed there as free.
There's one random event that's bothering me, it's not important for progression, but it's bothering me cos' I can't seem to get a pass for it?
It's out in the sticks, and it's with Trevor.
OK so it pops up on the map as a friend and an ememy, I go over there and a couple of cops are bundling some redneck in a vest into their van. Wasn't sure what to do, so I tried to pull the cop out of the van, they got a little angry and the dude ran away. Cue some dead cops and me sprinting in to the sunset.
Didn't add to my random or misc events?
So I reloads my game, starts me in a different place, so I drive over to where it was find the cop putting the dude on his knees calling for backup, the cop turned on me, so I shot him, dude runs off, me sprinting into the sunset again, and still no pass on the random or misc?
So my conclusion is kill the cop before he radios? Or follow the cop car and see where they take the guy? Country cops have a habit of driving problem types out into the middle of nowhere and executing them so I wonder if that'll be the case?
Finally had a proper go of the online mode. I like it. I like it a lot. Gonna be pouring many, many hours into this game. :smile:

No worries. Deadpan and I had a fair few races this afternoon, top stuff. And you get a shed load of cash and XP. Levelled up 3 times. Really good fun, we were racing cars, bikes, cycles, jet skis and parachutes. Should be going on again tonight at some point if anyone wants to join in.
Mile: sorry to hear about the losing your apartment glitch, what a bummer. According to the release notes for today's patch, it has been fixed.

they tend to just keep appearing. you have to arrive early, and either stop the crim which will trigger the cop saying thanks. or if you shoot the cop the crim runs off.
try shooting the crim in the leg before the cop catches hm. or use your tazer

I spoke too soon...the game is definitely still full of glitches and bugs, as I discovered last night when it kept kicking me and I discovered that all my single player weapons for Michael had disappeared!
Luckily I had backed up my save on the cloud, so I was able to get my weapons back, but I would have been obviously annoyed if I'd lost them for good. It's a real shame, as when the game works it's definitely up there as one of the funnest, funniest multiplayer experiences I've had in years!
Daren and I had another great run of races, and we really need more Spec-chums to appear....it's just I'm now a bit worried for anybody else who starts playing and their single player saves!
Yeah i noticed the weapon loss glitch, you do still retain all the attachments but have to rebuy the weapons all over again which must come to around the 30k mark.
I had it happen before the new patch and it wasn't due to online because i couldnt even get on it then. I've been replaying the missions trying for the 70 gold medal achievement and one mission where you needed to shoot the back doors off a moving vehicle, it plonks you right behind the van on the highway but i couldnt do anything as i'd lost all my weapons. I had to fail, rebuy the micro smg and reattach all the addons, then replay and i was able to clear it.
i managed to buy another apartment. seems to have saved this time. its pretty cool as you can spectate on the other players using the tv.
what i found the other night is too start single player and give it time to load. when i tried getting online straight away it says its unavailable. but waiting a bit starts showing the correct menus.
I completed the main story on Saturday night and I can say I loved that story! A great set of characters and I loved the interaction between them. I managed to get Michael and Franklin to bump into each other (I swopped characters and all 3 were on the beach but Trevor ran off when I got near) so we went for some beers and got ****faced and drove home :lol:
I really hope that there's some DLC for these three. An extension of the same story as I think there's still room for more there.
I've still got loads to do too. I set about buying up all the property, but I can't see anyway other than being skillful on the stockmarket, to be able to buy that golf course! I wonder if anyone has yet?

Apart from being easier to communicate, when robbing a store you can shout at the clerk to make them speed up. :D
