It's a collector's machine. If I wasn't pre-occupied with other things I'd consider buying a job lot of +2Bs, doing the mods and selling them on as the 128Ke for a small profit.
The red under the feet is some wiggly plastic bits that act as springs to keep the feet in place (up or down).
If yours doesn't have that, it either has a different colour "springs" or you've lost them. They're the first things that fall down when you open a 128k case and a bit tricky to keep in place.
Given this has a new membrane, and comes with a RGB cable and tape deck and has been cleaned up, I think this is not far off the price I would expect.
According to the seller: "This machine has had a higher rated voltage regulator fitted, new transistors and has been thoroughly cleaned inside and out. The only blemish is to the right of the keyboard where some hand wear to the case is present. Tested with pretty much everything I have, tapes, Multiface, Microdrives, all good!"
All considered, it's a fair price. But if you're not afraid of a bit of soldering to do some mods you can get a +2B a lot cheaper.

Mine are a translucent white, Never knew some were red in colour...
Ive had red, white and black come through here in the past. In toasties mainly red though. I should also point out that Ive fitted a metal base plate to the keyboard instead of the plastic one, gives the keys more "bounce"
And yeah, break down all the bits and pieces that go with this and ?120 is about right on the money.

Also, if I was going to get a toaster it would have to be the Spanish original complete with the keypad and non-gelded ROM. Never seen one of those come up for sale though.
Yeah, I had the same with a synthesiser, where I'd rest my hands on. The texture becomes smooth, because with time, the plastic is rubbed down.
Its totally unrepairable, but as I said, it can also be charming as well :)

I'd buy one
oooh who (gets out his striped jumber, mask and swag bag out)
good luck finding it ..
actually JD owns one, he got it free with the gold edition of trashman and el jetpaco .. ask him
They sell well for that price, give it a day or two!
Its safe to assume its seen some use, which is nice, because that also has value, however, that hand blemish on the plastic is a huge turn-off.
It's just skin oil. Should be able to mop that up with any non-solvent based cleaner. Solvents are out obviously as they'll melt the case.
It looks like it's worn out to me, from where you might rest your palm/side of the hand, could be wrong though.
Is there a specific cleaner that you could recommend (for my future reference)?
I haven't tried it, but DD10 might do the trick. It's pH neutral and designed for use in food preparation environments. Also odorless:

Most orange-peel based cleaners are safe too. They're what Xerox uses to refurb their machines. They wash the PCBs in them:

There's also something called Janitol but it's pretty pricey:

Also, well done to Macc for selling the toastrack. I was tempted to buy it myself!
Yeah it was very smooth there, the texture of the plastic was gone unfortunately
