are 4164's the same as mt4067-12

just wondering if I can use as direct replacements
as I have a +2a here with ic5 and ic4 overheating, also what are the correct voltages for these ic's?

    The RAM chips in all 128k Spectrums only need a +5V supply.
    The grey +2 uses KM4164B-15P (or equivalent) 64k X 1 bit DRAM chips.
    The black +2A and +2B use TMS4464-12 or M5M4464-15 (or equivalent) 64k X 4 bit DRAM chips.

    From a quick glance at the data sheet, it looks like MT4067-12 DRAM chips may work in place of 4464 DRAM chips.

    This +2a has MT4067-12's fitted already
    so they must work in a +2a except these seem fried

    In that case, no. 4164 chips won't even fit in the socket - you need 4464 chips for a +2a/+3 ;)

    lol I meant 4464's as I have eight of them here in front of me :oops:
