Halloween is coming... ?with games!

Hi all,

I am proud to announce that this Halloween wil come with some new games. At Spain we are working hard to bring you a great Halloween day, in my case I finished yesterday my special game. Some friends are working in other games for this day, yes it would be a great Halloween for all speccy fans.

At Spain there is no Halloween, on Friday we have "The Day of all saints": no candies, no witch costumes... we carry flowers to our dead family and remember them.

But Halloween is a good excuse to make games. :)

Until about a decade ago, it was the same here, with the added tradition (in the South and especially in Sicily) of dead relatives "bringing" sweets and gifts to the younger ones (of course, parents were behind this). Then a wave of wretched American consumerist craziness invaded us and canceled this honorable and heart-warming custom :mad:

Happy Halloween everyone!

As mentioned in the Halloween thread, you can probably blame us Scots for Halloween...along with all our Celtic brethren in Ireland & Wales! :D

It's also believed that All Saints Day (or the Day of All Saints) was made to be the 1st of November in order for the Celtic cultures to more willingly accept a change to Christianity, so you can probably thank us for that too! ;)

If you want to celebrate Samhain in a more traditional way instead of the more Americanised modern way, build yourself a massive bonfire, carve a face in turnip instead of a pumpkin and set places at your dinner tables for any dead relatives!

Lay out some pebbles and try to divine your future, then lay next to the bonfire until it burns down, put ashes and coal from the fire on your face and invade your neighbours homes, causing all sorts of mischief along the way! :D
