ooh just found a chat site where you create a "room" and it has a music player you drag and drop tunes into and you can all listen to em, interesting :)

How does that work without a flame war every 3 seconds? :D
I've noticed I rarely listen to 'albums' any more. must have at least 50 gigs of mp3s on my HD and tend to skim through stuff going from one artist to the next when I'm listening to stuff. Not had a stereo system for well over a year now and all my CDs are just collecting dust. my ten-years-ago self would not be proud of this
I mp3-ised and sold off hundreds of my old CDs over the last ten years so I think I'm down to only about 100, but I'm doing stupid hours at work at the moment (boo) which means I actually have a chance to listen to CDs again (yay) so I've been revisiting them. A lot of album tracks would sound schitt in isolation but just work as part of an album - some of the tracks off Check Your Head and London Calling for example.
Having said that, today's been all about the 12"/80s compilations :)

true...My Bloody Valentine 'Loveless' is one of my fav albums but I can't imagine only listening to a couple of tracks off it. Most of them are are linked together with interludes anyway.
also I was thinking the other day about how there are some songs you can't imagine hearing end without the one that follows it on that album coming in straight afterward, almost like they have to go together i.e. Beatles - Back In The USSR going into Dear Prudence afterwards etc... the art of the album is definitely suffering
I guess because of all this pick'n'mix mp3 stuff concept albums are at their lowest point right now as well - which some might argue is a good thing

An old work buddy of mibne told me to listen to it, cos' it's supposed to be absolutely hilarious?
Haven't bothered yet 30 "scenes" of R Kelly is more than enough R Kelly for any sane person :D
I love it all pretty much right up to the 80s, give or take an album or two.
Got this on now. Good stuff. Your intro track is mental! :D
listening to random youtubes. now: def leppard - love bites
I didn't actually request a chrimbo D n' B mix
I just mentioned it cos' you did release one near chrimbo once, and it didn't have to be Christmas themed
Thanks anyway though I'll stick it on my mp3 player for...oh no hang on I'm off tonight, sod it I'll just listen to it now :D

Elbow - Cast Of Thousands
Stone Roses - Second Coming

Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden
Watch it. If you can get past it being R Kelly and just think of it as a comedy it's actually really bloody funny.
Machinedrum - Don't 1 2 Lose U [Braille Remix], Vapor City Metro Mix (2013)
