I have a Retro Duo which plays NES and SNES carts only, and a reissued Genesis about 1/5th of the size of an actual Genesis. Neither of those have USB support.

However this beast looks like it could have, but I'm not sure if it does, as I think the USB support may cause them legal probs. The original companies pretty much already don't really like these machines too much so putting the option to not even have to buy the carts in there would probably cause a few problems for the developers I'm sure.

One thing that makes me wonder though did the US completely forget about the Master System? Just about every retro system like this always includes Megadrive/Genesis along with Nintendo machines, but never the Master System?

I've seen Master System carts here for sale before, and they were dirt cheap as well.

I was thinking the same thing about the Master System...

it's one of my favorite machines (I like it much more than the NES).

It has USB port to recharge the controllers... maybe it can be used to upload roms?

Aren't those machines emulation based, rather than having (copies of) the same internal hardware as the original consoles? If so, then I'd probably look at the comments from people who've used the thing, in case the compatibility isn't 100%, especially if some of the games that don't work are amongst your favourite.

there are on pre-order for a while, expected march 2014.... I'll wait to see if it's crudo emulation.. badly at that.. due to past things with big N.. they might be trying to get it stopped.

not impressed that there were no decent instructions with the dingoo I bought. it wasn't even shipped in UK mode!!.. so I doubt I'll be using the company who supplied that again soon.

the neo-geo thing being advertised is emulated... and far from as good as the original.. looks really nice in rhe pics.. but is far from that if you see the various youtube videos..

so be wary until you see it's "proper" .. as you might as well use a pi emualtion etc instead.

as for specs , this might be helpful..

got one , but can't seem to unlock it.. and the forum doesn't help much..

also the combo to find out what firmware it is for flashing , doesn't work..ended up formatting the internal mem!

the stock emulators are "ok" but the linux boot ones are far better.. I might give it to a friend to faff with , to see if he can get any joy.. he has more patience than me :)

the fm radio on it is crap , is 1 thing I can say.

Doesn't sound very "non tech guy" friendly (that is what i am...)

What about the screen? it didn't seem very big, from the videos I've seen.
