'The History of Ocean Software' - a preview

This will be printed later this month - 264 pages in full colour. I will initially have 40 or spare. They will be ?25 each which will include UK postage. Please post if you want to pre-order one.

    Should have the proof back this week then going to print next week. I am ordering another batch of 50 so there some left.

    We have booked one of the side rooms at the venue and will be converting it to an Ocean shrine. Mark Jones will be helping with this and bringing a lot of his rare Ocean memorabilia to display. We will have a lot of systems in this room just playing Ocean games.

    Just to say that my copy arrived this morning, and is even better than I could have hoped for. It really is a thing of beauty; excellent quality with a lovely embossed Ocean logo on the front.

    If you haven't ordered a copy and have even a small piece of affection for the terrific games (mostly :razz:) that Ocean gave us on the Speccy then you are missing out.

    Many thanks to all involved in producing this wonderful book. If the Hewson one is made to the same high standard then I will be well chuffed!

    My copy also arrived this morning, looks excellent. Only glanced through 1st dozen of pages or so but looks top quality.

    Thoroughly recommended.

    Got mine today as well.
    Loving the whole thing.
    Well put together, really high quality printing with nice glossy paper throughout.
    Started reading it with a huge grin on my face.... very interesting :D

    I placed an order for the printed book on 7 January and not had it yet, so I contacted the site - apparently there's been a delay at the printers so if anyone else is still waiting, don't panic.

    I tried to contact the Ocean History team via email but will try here as well as got no reply.

    Guys, please update the PDF version with better quality graphics. The current level of compression completely ruins the e-book. It's 134 pages but just 11mb and the artifacts are everywhere. File size probably needs to be 5x that to be enjoyable on-screen.

    All the latest orders went out end of last week.

    Thanks - I'll keep an eye on the post - nothing through as of yesterday though.

    When you say latest orders, would that have included orders like mine placed a month ago too?

    I'm just concerned my order has not been missed as the website does not recognise my login details anymore for some reason, which means I have no way of checking my order.

    Interesting to learn there was a hold up at the printers? If I'd have known that I wouldn't have cancelled my order after waiting a month with no email replies :confused:

    Luckily I've re ordered another copy on Ebay :D

    Wohoo, it arrived today (by 'arrived' I mean I picked it up from the post office as I was out when the postie tried to deliver it the other day) and my my, it looks the business!
