Oh wow, those were really cool games, I remember them. Great stuff, did you get much for them at the time?
I'll add three to my game, because I was planning to have it end in 1986, so the final one is too late. Still, that's 4 I've got so far, huzzah
Thanks, it wasn't that great, and not very well known, although it was converted to 7 platforms which was kinda cool .. and slightly annoying because I accepted ?400 instead of the 12.5% royalties, though it probably wouldn't have added up to loads more.
It was basically Boulderdash, but with 3 robots instead of 1 guy, 1 for pushing, 1 for digging and 1 for collecting. It made it much more puzzley than Boulderdash because you had to avoid killing or trapping your own droids. That doesn't work so well in the mini version I linked above because the levels are so small, but the levels in the original were much larger (about 10 screens across in either direction) so it was much easier to trap a droid in a room below you.
Problem 1) I've been in contact with everyone in a position to make a legal complaint about the site over the years, from the top down. They're on side. Disagree? Then name names.
The onus is not on me to prove that you don't have permission from Dennis and Future, it is on you to prove that you do. Permissions from individual writers are worthless as they do not own the copyright to their work.
Problem 2) You knew that, and you still gave the above legal analysis. You're basically crap at anything relating to the law.
I stated the law as it applies in the UK with regard to the original post. I pointed out your lack of a legal position to back up your analysis for the benefit of the OP, not to start a fight with you. I can quote case law until you're blue in the face from calling me names. But what would be the point of that?

You didn't understand what I said. You may be able to recite what you've read somewhere, but bugger me you cannot understand it or apply it correctly.

Ah! Now then Mousey, you seem to be assuming that the permission I've given to Farflame applied to everybody :)

Don't knock it, a good flame war keeps the fingers warm on a chilly December afternoon.....
