your comment inspired me to try and crack out a third entry for the competition before the deadline....as it turns out this dismal offering only took and hour or so - the ridiculous name and in fact concept was all down to Mrs Wookiee though so rest easy on that score :lol:
I haven't been in touch with recent happenings but I thought Carlsson's otter game was, erm, "otterly brilliant"... but surely this year's crown belongs to Kweepa - so much to choose from, and it's all complete and utter codswallop!
I can hit the far right piggy (ho ho!) but none of the others.
We've been doing it wrong! I've added this edit to the site, you can't see the pigs you're aiming for. How silly of me...
EDIT > The game is actually playable, I made the mistake that you were aiming for the pigs at the top of the screen. You are in fact aiming for invisible pigs off screen to the right. To get you started (as per the Excel sheet) to beat screen 1 in one go fire 50 degrees and power 2.
Great, I've had time to finish and thoroughly test mine, rather than, for example, giving up as MCoder III was displaying 'Out of Memory' when trying to compile it.
Damn, I just did another one. That's two in extra time from me. And damned if I don't keep playing it. Clearly not enough carp in there. It's ripe for a sequel though. Maybe next year.

Clearly a clone of Mercenary (which was ported to the Spectrum, by the way, Dave...).
Ah Mercenary that's it, cheers. I'd got it into my head it was called only 'Escape from Targ' and remember a different coloured B-side.
I'd moved to the Amiga by that time but am very pleased to say the Spectrum compares very favourably.
