  Hi, if you just want to recreate the old compilation you had there is no need for the original tapes. You only need to download the TZX files of each program from the WOS archive, save them as WAV files, burn these as audio tracks on a common CD and play it on a CD player which will be connected to your Spectrum as you normally would with a tape recorder.
  
  In my experience this will work well even with non-standard loading schemes, except for Speedlock tapes, which the Spectrum unfortunately seems to be very "picky" with when loading them off a CD as audio tracks.
  
  The Arkanoid version you mention is the Hit Squad re-release (Speedlock 7).

  Thanks for the heads up, I am able to get all them in .WAV and burn them to a CD and all (including Speedlock 1-7) work without fail, my main reason for the post is to seek out the TRUE original release of Captain Slog (the one I used to have that had a loading screen unlike the one on WOS)
  
  I have The Hit Squad Re-Release of Arkanoid that I downloaded from WOS which as you said is a Speedlock 7, but the one I had was Speedlock 2 (blue n black bars) that said Kempston Y or N once loaded, but none of the Speedlock 2 versions of this on either WOS or TZXVault say it apart from the Erbe Software S.A. Re-Release (which isn't a Speedlock 2)
  
  Anyhow, thanks for trying to help me out, if only I could get a hold of the original cassette of both games.
