I remember my old man (RIP) saying once to me back in the day that "all this technology will kill industries, automation will replace more and more humans with robots and there won't be enough jobs to go round."
A little mention for the Sinclair calculators and watches too.

Welcome to my world. I've been getting that message from iPlayer for about a week now, and I AM in the UK. Same with BBC News, I get the international version now.
/me won't be tempted, it's someone else's turn

Heinz Big Soup is still around, but it's much smaller than it used to be. A bit like Wagon Wheels and Monster Munch.
I once went to Broadstairs, Kent (about 40 miles away) and got a text message from a phone network saying "Welcome to Belgium!"
