After years of mad pain I've finally had a total hip replacement on the left side. Hurrah! It was done 12 days ago and I'm at home resting while my body does it's healing thing.
I'm working on it. By working I mean generally keeping still with the occasional wander around on crutches. I can literally see the bruising and swelling go down every day.
Congratulations. And good to know you're on the mend too.

My aunt just had her hip replaced on Sunday so she's only on day four, but hopefully her recovery will be as fast as yours. She just turned 88 yesterday though, so she probably won't heal as fast as you.

My mum broke her hip last month and had an operation to have a plate put over the fracture, she's now hobbling around using a zimmer frame:smile:
