Spectrum as a business machine

There was a chap near Preston who used to have a small company repairing Micros.
Took our ZX Spectrum + to him in order to have the keyboard membrane replaced.
    Repaired it in no time...
I remember him keeping his records on a ZX Spectrum and a couple of Microdrives.
In fact, he printed out our Invoice on it. :)

Same with the Timex Computers service center in Porto, Portugal. Went there a couple times to have one of their green monitors for my TC2068 fixed, and they were using the same TC2068s and green monitors to keep service orders and print the receipts. I suppose they used FDD drive units to save the data. Talk about eating your own dog food. :-)
