First person mode is so much more immersive than third person, I always think.
Unfortunately, you can't use the mod on an un-modded console, so unless Rockstar add a first person mode as a download bonus for the game (very unlikely, seeing as they've never added a first person on-foot view to any GTA before now), I'll have to get my machine modded.
I've seen first person mods for GTA 3: San Andreas, and GTA 4, and I think for GTA 3 and Vice City (all for the PC versions), but these were all made by third person modders, and Rockstar never took the hint and added first person mode to the subsequent GTAs.

I'm wondering if we'll ever see proper single-player DLC released. Mind you, it was a year between GTA IV and GTA IV: Lost and Damned (on 360 at least - PS3 owners had to wait even longer), but with a next-gen GTA V coming out later this year, it is starting to seem somewhat unlikely.
Mine didn't auto update this time? Unless it went live after I turned my PS3 on today.

Must've been an omen though that I decided to sell my Alpha yesterday, it looks crap, and I never use it, so I put my Zentorno from my second Garage in it's place. So I've got just over a million right now as until this update I've bought pretty much everything I want.
I've been doing a lot of solo sessions and just selling cars and pissing about basically....This has really turned into one of those games I'm just playing for the sake of it now :lol:
Hmmm well this update isn't working out too well, it bricked twice while trying to Download it, to the point where I had to pull the plug out cos' the machine wouldn't switch off.
then when it finally did download I only get the weapons in single player, and no vehicles, there's no uprades available at Amunation either. In online mode the weapons aren't available at all and neither are the cars?.......b*llocks!
EDIT: Right still no ammu nation or cars in single player, but the vehicles are now available online? Time to drive to ammu nation to see if I can actually get the weapons?

It's kinda fun, but it's Pegasus only, and doesn't have a proper damage model, so the tires won't go flat, get messed up. It doesn't really crush cars either just rolls over them.

That's just reminded me (I don't think I mentioned it when it happened). I was catching up with the TV show, Person Of Interest (which is really good BTW), earlier this year, when suddenly Trevor popped up! I expected him to have a big part in that episode, but he was only in it for one scene.
Beginning tomorrow, August 1st and running all weekend long through midnight eastern on Sunday August 3rd, get 2X RP in GTA Online. All Jobs and other RP-gaining activities like Gang Attacks, Hold Ups, and Import/Export to name a few, will earn you double RP.
This will also be your last chance to pick up the limited-time content from the GTA Online Independence Day Special. So if you have yet to acquire vehicles like the Sovereign motorcycle and the Liberator monster truck, weapons like the Musket and Firework Rocket Launcher, or any of the patriotic tees and masks in-game then make sure to grab these items by Sunday.
Haven't even bothered with online since I downloaded it, the new car looks alright but it handles like a rhino on mescalin. No doubt all the new planes and wotnot cost at least 6 digits to buy, and......oh I dunno? :roll:
Once again though no mansions, no stock market, no heists, and all the grindable missions made harder, all the easy money methods patched out, weither they're glitches or not....and so on.

It'd be a real shame if they didn't add a story, especially seeing as they did it for both GTA IV and RDR.

I'm actually having quite a lot o' fun with the Flight School, trying to get gold medals on all the challenges!
But they do need to get their finger out and get the heists sorted!
