my latest one being about wind screen wiper blades, driver side has a spoiler and no where on the box does it show if you have it on the top or bottom.

never had a wiper with such a thing..

thought I'm not the only one :)

(and it's under the wiper , a few told me)

What is that Ibid book, it must be like an encyclopedia and have articles on everything!
    (looked it up on wikipedia...ohhhh!)

What the heck is a timex and what is a QL (only found out within the last couple of years)

What do quid pro quo, deus ex machina and et cetera mean in english.

It's so they keep contact on the glass and not lift at high speeds. On a Renault Megane I had a few years back it one of the spoilers on each wiper fitted at the bottom.

I once went to an IT workshop thingy and had to ask someone how to get coffee out of the coffee machine. Felt like a right prat. I don't even like coffee!

Why when I was a kid did our car have Windows in the back that didn't go all the way down, doors that would only open from the outside, but didn't have seat belts.

In an accident my only escape was to hurtle through the wind screen.

    how does machine code work?

also when I was 12 I bought my first electric guitar and after deciding on one (it was a hohner 'arbor series' if anyone remembers them), just to be on the safe side I asked the guy "is this a rhythm guitar or a lead guitar?".

Call me a big girl's pink floaty blouse with butterflies on, but I've never understood the offside rule. What is it?

arf! Although surely there are some guitars that are more suitable for one or the other... or is that just down to what strings you use? I don't know, I'm a drummer, I just hits big round fings wiv sticks.

Buying wetsocks & fins (flippers) for bodyboarding, swimming etc.

Never got round to asking "which is for the left foot and which is for the right foot?". Was too embarrassed.

Wouldn't ask the same question about the gloves at least.

No, it's pretty much just down to whether you play rhythm or lead. ;)

A mate once asked me if changing hand position on the neck actually makes a difference to the notes you're playing. No, seriously. He didn't know much about music, bless him. I told him that it doesn't make a difference, we just do it to look cool.

The only electric I've ever heard of that wasn't designed to play lead on was a Malcolm young signature gretsch model which aren't made any more. and they cost about 7K! there's probably a few others but generally I think guitars are designed for both. I remember getting sniggered at when I asked that question anyway :)

I haven't studied all that many in great detail apart from my own, but do you mean "does everybody have a lower hanging nadger?", or "does everybody with a lower hanging nadger have it on the same side?" ?

    (mine's on the right btw)

It's not from detailed study but I was under the impression that everybody with 2 always have a lower hanging one and it was always the left one.

I'd best not double check now, I'm in a shared office.

Go on, check in the office, it's a science project.
Just because they should be checked for lumps bumps and other unwanted things in there.
And if you do find anything GET IT CHECKED!

ha, I see karingal or someone's changed the swear filter now so we can't even say "b0ll0ck"!

I wouldn't mind so much if some of the letters stayed in, at the moment we can't tell the difference between ****, ****, ******** or ****!

Is that the right as you're looking at it or as we're looking at it?

[Edit] - does the swear filter allow Loblocks?

[Edit 2] - looks as if it does

    Always patient's right, not surgeon's right. ;)

If in doubt, take an indelible marker with you into hospital and write "not this one" on one of them.

...and "not this one either" on the other :D
