What's on your saucer?

Trying to shift a stone or two and had a bit of a fast day today, so nothing much on my saucer. Cup of tea for breakfast, another one for lunch, a couple of slices of bread and some cucumber for dinner (was going to have houmous but it's gone off).

That's more or less it, apart from a handful of nuts.

And I feel surprisingly OK, a little bit hungry, but not ravenous. I've got a bit of a weird headache but that could be because I did 3 hours work for someone and my brane hurts.

Eff' me....I did the full 5 minutes, after about 3 minutes it doesn't even sound like she' saying "go on go on" anymore, it's like a bizarre surreal tape loop of some weird vocal trippy music.....by the time 5 minutes was up I could still hear it...but it still didn't sound like "go on go on"?

It's a bit like if you say "cup of tea" over and over really fast, eventually it turns into "badigger badigger badigger badigger" or something

You must be crackers..! I get hungry if I haven't eaten for about 2 hours.

Bought some bananas yesterday for the first time in yonks. There must be something subliminal going on methinks...

Well I still feel OK this morning. Some people say it puts your body into "starve mode" meaning you hold onto fat for longer, but we'll see...

I've already cut right down on cheese and go running every other day. Just want to get rid of the old spare tyre :)

I LOVE cheese, and that is my downfall (that and crisps). You can buy low fat cheese but it doesn't taste the same.

Took the pic before smothering the lot with Heinz BBQ sauce.

Glad you did, otherwise it would have spoiled the presentation.

    EDIT: are those beans cold?

Nah, it was one of those Heinz snap pots. You heat them up in the microwave for 1 minute and they're somewhere between tepid and lukewarm.

I think this food needs counting.

    I'll start...

    1 sausage roll

    Over to you Morkin...

Make sure you eat a breakfast. That way you''ll kickstart your metabolism. If you skip breakfast, your body will store fat.
Try looking up intermittant fasting, that's supposed to be really good for you. One of my mates swears by it and he's practically a bean pole!

I'm estimating 24 grains of rice and 10,000,293 beans.

    Sounds about right :-)

I'd have the BBQ sauce (or more likely HP) on the sausage roll but not on the rest.

Yep I always have something for breakfast even if it's just a couple of Weetabix or a banana.

Having a cup of (lemon green) tea now, that always fills me up and stops me from gorging myself on crap in the evenings. I'll never be a proper tea drinker - it's the milk I can't stand - and normal green tea is too bitter, but after 39 years I can finally understand why people go "Ooh lovely, a cup of tea!"

Cooked this for the entire family:

Boneless fish fillet in spicy green tomato sauce, boiled, and rice with vegetables. Cup of wine on the side for me.

  • Sardines and salad. Tomatoes, cucumber and lettuce all came from the garden :) Far too healthy for a WoS saucer!

Whenever I see some unusual food, the first thing i look at is which country the poster is from........

    York :o:o:o:o

I thought the Portuguese were the only ones that liked Sardines. :)

Although if I had to choose between the canned stuff and the fresh grilled ones, I would go for the latter. We like to eat them on top of a slice of fresh Artisan bread, and then we ear the bread afterwards.

So you had a "slow day" then?
  • edited July 2014
For me 'having a slow day' is code for a hangover!

Is this the 5-2 diet or something Lee?
