Super Trux 128K on ZERO

edited August 2014 in Emulators
I have tried every tape snapshot image listed on the World Of Spectrum page and none of them will work on ZERO, even though others work fine and from what i can gather, the images have worked for others.

Does anyone else have ZERO and have this problem and if so is there a way of fixing it?

The easiest way of fixing it is to ditch Zero and use Spud!!!

Seems a little extreme to dump an emulator that plays every other Speccy game I ahve for one game. easier would be to hopefully get a decent tzx, tap or even dsk file for Super trux 128.

Of course it's not, Spud is far superior to Zero!!!

The serious answer is that Arjun is here on a daily basis and will see your post and no doubt get on to fixing that bug ASAP.

    What exactly is the problem?

Any one of them I try comes up with a bad loading screen, like the ones you used to get if the volume on the tap machine you were using was just a little off. None of them work as they all come up with the same bad loading screen, both the 48K and the 128K versions.

I can only assume that perhaps the files have been corrupted as this is the only game of the myriad that I have that doesn't load on ZERO. I did look to see if someone had made a TR-DOS file of Super trux but have not been able to locate one.
  • I'm still waiting for Spud for Android.

I'd pay for an android version that let you save tap files.

    I wouldn't pay a lot mind!

Seems like it doesn't like the Auto Play/Stop for some reason. Turning it off in the tape browser allowed me to load it in without any problems. I did have to start the tape manually though on the tape deck. ;)

I haven't been in here regularly of late due to hectic work schedules. I missed this thread completely and it was only by chance that I came across it. :O

Yep that did it. As I said on your site its a very odd quirk for a game to have but at least I know how that game loads now. Thank you :)
