As tragic as it is when somebody dies, I can't say I'll miss her collagen and poly filler chiseled face spouting completely clueless crap on morning TV.

To give her credit, at least she could laugh at herself....
?I wish I had a twin, so I could know what I?d look like without plastic surgery.?
?I am definitely going to watch the Emmys this year! My makeup team is nominated for ?Best Special Effects.??
?No more Botox for me. Betty White's bowels move more than my face.?
"Never be afraid to laugh at yourself, after all, you could be missing out on the joke of the century."
Are they sure she's dead? She hasn't just merged into the wall and kept really still? I hope any marine unit that goes in to investigate is properly briefed.
That aside, shouldn't the news read 'Joan Rivers finally dies on the outside'? She died on the inside about 60 years ago.

Heard this on the radio yesterday and it made me chuckle, an exchange between Rivers and Johnny Carson..
In one famous exchange, Carson asked Rivers if men really liked smart women more.
Rivers shot back: "No man has ever put his hands up a woman's dress looking for a library card."
That's razor sharp wit, she wasn't everyone's cup of tea and definitely polarised opinion of her but when she was on her game very few could live with her.
Like Robin Williams, both geniuses but in a different way.

Never found her funny in the slightest, just a crude loud-mouthed American who somehow turned up on our screens on a regular basis for reasons I'll never truly understand! :???:

To quote Krusty the Clown, you've got these lady comics talking about who they slept with, when they sit on the can... I agree, I never found Joan Rivers as funny as other female comedians, she always came across as bitchy even when the subject of the joke was herself.

Was she? Regularly on TV, I mean. I don't recall seeing her on British TV screens since about 1983.

She had a chat show on Channel Five for several years. Regularly featured on other chat shows too. Often popped up in film premiere and award ceremony coverage.

Ah, that would explain it, then. Channel 5, chat shows, premiere, award ceremonies: All things I'd avoid like the plague...
I'm pretty sure the last thing I ever saw her in was The Joan Rivers Show. Looking on IMDB, it reckons that ran from '89 to '93, not 1983. I could have swore it was much earlier than that.

R.I.P. but kinda good riddance as well.
As awful as that sounds.
Sorry...

Not sure you'll be asked to do the eulogy!

don't mind offensive comedy myself but I just didn't find her funny tbh
RIP though
Legend.

Her tombstone should read as follows:
Joan Rivers

...it's almost like he had a crush on her or something!

I think that explains why.
It can't have done as badly as The Jack Docherty Show on Channel 5 which often had higher ratings when he was away and they had a guest host.
Channel 5 might be bad now, but it horrible when it started.
They do put some good movies on mind.
I quite liked the quiz shows 100% and Whittle (with Tim Vine) though.
Says it all really!
hang on you're not a muslim are you?
Aaaargh, not you too! Saw that on facebook the other day - it's a hoax, people!
(assuming you mean the "Muslims against Peppa Pig" thing that's been floating around)

She still had a weekly TV show on here in the US (being American and all I expect) called "Fashion Police" on the E channel.
