I'm watching the extended edition of the first Lord of the Rings films. I watched the first edition of this years ago when the DVD first came out, but I've never watched the others, nor the extended edition of this. But, I enjoyed The Hobbit, so i thought I'd give these another try :-)
Good lord. You'll be telling us you've not seen Star Wars next :-)

I've seen Star Wars, although I only managed to see "Empire..." all the way through for the first time when I was in hospital back in May for my kidney transplant :o
Hollllld onnnnnnnn...you're playing a vid...where does the mic come into the equation?
I'm watching back part of a video I've made, and having to constantly redo the sound because my mic is sh*t, I could record video then add commentary at another time, but I kinda need it live.
No matter what I do with my mic though I sound like I'm hiding at the bottom of a 4 mile deep tin can.
Just finished watching The Mummy - The tomb of the emperor king, it wasn't that great, the first one was the best.
Didn't even have a proper mummy in it!

Professional Mel-the-Bell Simulator................"So realistic, I found myself reaching for the Kleenex King-Size!" - Richard Darling
The other night I was flicking channels and Sir Chris Hoy was being interviewed on that Sporting Heroes programme on Sky Sports. Having a recent-ish interest interest in cycling I started watching it. It got to the end and he was asked who his sporting hero was. I expected him to say Boardman, Idurain or Mercx, but he gave a name that rang a vague bell - Graeme Obree.
Now I vaguely remembered him from the early to mid-90's, specifically as someone who took on the Olympic 4K Time Trial champion, Chris Boardman, and beat him on the way to becoming World Champion in 1993, retaining it in 1995. What I really remembered was that he did this on a bike he'd modified himself, putting bearings from a washing machine into his bottom bracket.
Interest piqued, I've been Googling him the last few days and his is an incredibly interesting story. Bullied at an early age, discovered cycling, suffers from bi-polar and severe depression and suicide attempted three times. What's even more interesting is that he didn't just put those bearings into that bike but built it completely from scratch from old bits and pieces and went up against Boardman's 1/2 million pound Lotus bike and beat him.
Just before this he beat the 1 hour World Record of Mercx which was pretty much thought of as unbreakable at the time. Amazingly he failed on day 1, drank pint after pint over night so he was constantly waking up and going to the loo and stretching and beat the record the next day. Mercx when he broke the record reckoned it had taken 3 years off his life it was that hard!
When he won the 1993 WC he developed a completely new riding technique similar to a skiers position, which the UIC subsequently banned. He then invented the Superman technique for the 1995 WC's and won it again - they again banned this one. They also banned his bike as it was not made of off-the-shelf components to which he argued other riders were competing on even had seats that cost several thousands. It's an utter disgrace how the UIC treated him. Basically of the three successful positions in the history of cycling Obree invented two of them.
Anyway, watching that programme on Staurday led me to watching the film of his exploits and his autobiography, both entitled The Flying Scotsman.
An absolutely fascinating athlete and character who deserves far more recognition than he got - although I believe the cycling fraternity outside the UIC hold him up alongside Mercx.
Edit: it was Moser's record, not Mercx that he broke!
jack told him he can dj on rockindevilradio but he hasnt done anything about it yet
I would've ages ago, but too much drama in reality unfortunately...I've still got a dropbox with the bossman, not that we've shared anything yet.....I guess he gave my slot to marmite ;)

Some interesting ideas and I do like a bit of 'scarecrow horror' but ultimately pretty poor acting and a decent idea not properly realised.
The Edge
Hopkins/Baldwin/bear face-off. Pretty good.
Have you seen 'scarecrow' 1988, that's a pretty good scarecrow horror film.
