All Too Easy

edited December 2014 in Games
Following up on Biggz' suggestion, I made the thread.

I nominate 'saboteur' on skill level 1 (escaped the first day I had the game, got the disk and set the bomb on the second) and 'Rapscallion' (finished the day I bought it).

I found Robocop quite easy - it's basically an exercise in remembering where all the enemies appear.

    Feud
    Football manager
    Finders keepers

In the case of Saboteur and FM the ease came from selecting the first level by default. But its was nice to load a game that it was impossible to lose. FM at a higher level is drudgery.

I completed Rogue Trooper first time i played it!
You can also complete Street Gang by jumping through the entire game which means you avoid all the baddies!
I have completed WTSS often but i guess it isn't really easy, it's just i have played it loads of times.

    Nice one! 'Biggz'? Haha.

Anyway, Spawn of evil and Pit fighter (use the wrestler, put on auto fire and walk into your opponents. You shouldn't get hit at all) I sent this in to YS and got a badge for it. :D

Way Of The Exploding Fist was too easy because of the leg sweep. Game became much tougher if you forced yourself not to use it.

The leg sweep was even more of a problem on the C64 (which looked and sounded better); so one really had to decide that it was a banned move to enjoy the game.

Bruce Lee, of course! Still an enjoyable game though.

I would say the speccy one is hard compared to the c64 and atari ones.. a decent port though.

2 that spring to mind.. nightmare rally after I found the cheat key by accident.. and try playing break thru with the jump buttton pressed..

Really? Good effort. I've always found the first flightpath level nigh impossible. The later levels, like the gentle stroll to escape the underground tunnels, are admittedly much easier.

Breakthru - you can complete the game simply by continuously jumping. You don't even have to time the jumps.
  • edited November 2014
Bruce Lee for me was the easiest game by miles - you had to essentially cock it up deliberately to die.

Breakthru I won't say because it's completable by a bug - if it didn't exist it wouldn't be easy.

Robocop is possibly the second most easiest game to complete. It's still loads of fun though.

I wouldnt say robocop was easy, I managed to beat the first level after a few tries learning the blokes routines.
The bit where you gotta shoot the man holding the woman is pretty hard.

I'll tell you a game that is too easy

Oops! Sorry! Was using my piddly-small android phone screen at the time, so I must have misread your name..

    Another vote for Bruce Lee.

Android One was very easy too.

Both games are still cool to play, though.

What about The Hobbit? Possibly the easiest text adventure out there, you can complete it in relatively few moves if you don't bother going into Gollum's caves for the ring.

The only Spectrum game that was too easy that comes to my mind is the obvious one: Bruce Lee.

Forgot about Renegade and Target Renegade.

Bruce Lee was easy, but still very playable.
Beach Head was pretty easy, I'm sure I completed it after a few goes. I still enjoyed playing it though.

Feud was easy too - I think it was get the lightning spell, get the fireball spell then you could kill Leonoric in one go.

Another shout for Saboteur, although on the hardest level it was a tough play through. Still a good game though.

DTD was pretty easy, you could go round and round the events and keep qualifying. Again it was a great game.

As everyone else has mentioned - Bruce Lee was ridiculously easy.

Splitting Images/Split Personalities is an easy game once you know the routine of rejecting blocks or bombs quickly.

How do you get into a barrel without a ring? / How do you get to Lake Town without getting into a barrel?

Danger Mouse in Double Trouble - I managed to save the world three times in a row despite not knowing what to do on the third level (the one with the grid of lights).

Iirc you can just wait until nobody is around, get in, then ask Thorin or whoever to throw the barrel. Been years since I did it, but I used to play through that way every now and then just for the experience of being in the place or to speedrun it and see how quickly I could get the hoard. You won't get 100% completion on the score, but you do 'win' the game. It's one of the reasons I liked the game, it rather let you just mess about and do things how you wanted to a certain extent.

Yup, just tried it again. Got captured by the butler once, but on returning to the cellar from the dungeon, the butler picked up the barrel and threw it through the trapdoor. I jumped onto it when he did that, and it carried me downstream.

Escaping from the dungeon was just a case of waiting a few times for someone to unlock the door.

Robocop was really easy! The shooting the guy holding the girl section was particularly easy (just aim for his elbow. Job done!)
