But they do need to get their finger out and get the heists sorted!
I'm beginning to think that, if it does happen, it'll just be a set of higher-payout co-op missions, like the co-op missions of Red Dead Redemption, and not implemented into the online open world (i.e. without the ability to acquire heist "assets", such as getaway cars, outfits etc. like in the story mode).
Just speculating, obviously, but I can see it turning out that way. Or no heists at all.
Sixteen screenshots plus new trailer incoming later today.
[EDIT]Here is the trailer:
"Rockstar Games is proud to announce that Grand Theft Auto V will arrive on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 18, 2014 with the PC version to follow January 27, 2015.
Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC will feature a range of major visual and technical upgrades to make Los Santos and Blaine County more immersive than ever. In addition to increased draw distances and higher resolution, players can expect a range of additions and improvements including:
- New weapons, vehicles and activities
- Additional wildlife
- Denser traffic
- New foliage system
- Enhanced damage and weather effects, and much more
Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC will also feature enhanced radio selections with over 100 additional new songs and new DJ mixes from returning DJs across the game’s 17 radio stations.
All players who pre-order the game will get $1,000,000 in-game bonus cash to spend across Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online (GTA$500K each for your Story Mode and for your GTA Online in-game bank accounts).
A host of new, exclusive content also awaits for players returning from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions including rare versions of classic vehicles to collect from across the Grand Theft Auto series such as the Dukes, the Dodo Seaplane and a faster, more maneuverable Blimp; activities including wildlife photography and new shooting range challenges, new weapons and more.
Enhancements to Grand Theft Auto Online include an increased player count, with online play now for up to 30 players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. All existing gameplay upgrades and Rockstar-created content released since the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online will also be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with much more to come."
I saw this earlier. It does look good, but it's still nothing to make me want to shell out ?50+ for a game that I already have anyway! If it was a bit cheaper then maybe, but it's also 50gb and would take up a lot of valuable hard drive space!
I might be tempted if it goes into a sale at some point, but until then? Not for me :-(
Just loaded GTA V up for the first time in probably just over 8 weeks, I imagine I've probably missed some exclusive extras and wotnot? Just had a try of the new bikes and weapons, not bad I suppose.
Still don't know if I'll buy it again for PS4 right now? Might just play online til' the PS3 support finally wears thin. But I'll probably buy it again after that, I've put a lot of time into my character, it'd be a shame for it to go to waste.

You can transfer your online character over, I did mine the other night. It then unleashed a torrent of unlocked achievements from my old online save too.
I've played GTA V on my mate's PS4, and the first person mode is superb, enough to make me buy it without a second thought. But sadly the first thought was "Oh yeah, I don't have a PS4 or XBox One" and at the moment I can't easily afford the cash for a PS4, so I'll buy it on the PC (it's not out until Jan 27th :o( :-x) unless it's a terrible port (ala GTA IV PC) in which case it's ~50% of the incentive for me to buy a PS4 (hopefully Batman: Arkham Knight or Mirror's Edge 2 will be the other 50%!).
GTA V (on the PS4 at least) is a fantastic upgrade, as not only are the graphics noticeably better (and with none of the changes that spoil the atmosphere of the older version, that can plague a graphical upgrade) but the extra 'life' (more pedestrians, traffic, wildlife, detail under the sea, etc) really does add to the atmosphere. This really is how a next generation version of a previous generation game should be.
Ooooooh we've only waited a year longer than promised, so who knows maybe they'll sort this out by this time next year....on PS4 and Bone only....even though it says PS3 on the clip at the end.
Meant to be coming to all the versions in January.....they'd better be good and bloody work after how long they've took to arrive! :)
I bet the payouts are sh*t, either that or they'll be so hard you can barely do them.
Although I will give Rockstar their dues, I was very skeptical about the recent rebalancing of the missions, but they must've realised how much they were pissing their fanbase off. As playing online the last few days I've been joining any old mission with lower leveled players just for laughs, and some of the earlier lower paying missions give a nice amount of cash for how easy they are. I've noticed though some of the higher paying missions are a few grand short now as well, even on hard. Doesn't bother me though, as tbh I can't face Rooftop Rumble anymore, I did it once the other day and it just annoyed me.
But some of the missions I never used to bother with all seem to give over $10,000 now, although what happened to Crystal Clear out 2 and 3? They've vanished off my jobs list, but the first one is still on there?
I've also noticed the survivals all give $30,000 instead of $20,000 now as well, almost makes em' worth doing once in a while. Especially Sandy Survival, and Boneyard as they're both piss easy. I can do em' both single handedly without even breaking a sweat :D
So who knows maybe Rockstar will come through with the goods after all, but something tells me it'll be sketchy, they still have to sell their Shark Cards somehow ;)
More stuff for Christmas this year again...including a Christmas tree for your apartment with a promise of gifts on the day itself...looks like snow will be back too! And this time you can fling snowballs at each other! :D
Nice to see the snow back for a few more days this time. Was a pain just having it on Christmas day. Not enough time to explore and take in the scenery.

It was only there on Christmas day? I had the snow on the game for about 2 weeks I think? Didn't take my little green elf hat off til' about march either

I didn't even get to see it. I'm usually busy on Christmas Day. Buggers.
Well I had my usual 10 minute mess around when there's a new update.
Got the new weapons, don't really want the new cars...they've added a 3rd property, so that's nice, I can have 30 vehicles now wooooo! Didn't bother going to the clothes shops or owt like that, I'll do it another day I guess.
Snow's not here though, are they just doing it at Christmas again? Or what?

I can see ewgf getting rather excited over this... ;)
Dammit! This means I'll definitely need to fork out for an Xbox1 and yet another copy of GTAV at some point now! :D
This^^, but 2 copies as my 13y/o son will want to play on his Xbox One too!

I reckon it'll snow on random days between Christmas & New Year, but they haven't specifically stated when.....
