Black sabbath - the best of
Blackstar (Rising) - Barbed Wire Soul[1997] (ex Carcass)
Buck Satan and the 666 Shooters - Bikers Welcome Ladies Drink Free (2011) (country band formed by Ministry mainman Al Jourgenson)
Professional Mel-the-Bell Simulator................"So realistic, I found myself reaching for the Kleenex King-Size!" - Richard Darling
re: the other thread, gave the album another listen ... pretty much have the same opinion as how I remembered it. its not bad but I feel they went on to do everything theyre doing on it a lot better on later albums imo. this doesn't really grab me as much. the track Two States is the biggest Fall rip off I've ever heard though!
Absolute 80s
Current track: David Lee Roth - Just Like Paradise
Makes a very welcome change from the usual Jump once a day...
I've got a bit fed up with Absolute 80s lately (oh hooray, it's Atomic by Blondie again!) so switched to Planet Rock. Pretty good selection actually, today's highlights included Faith No More, Yes, Jane's Addiction and the Allman Brothers' Jessica (otherwise known as the theme from Top Gear)
I briefly stuck Absolute Radio on (the proper one) before that, and within two minutes they were playing a recent U2 song. Off!

Planet Rock is pretty good, as is Team Rock Radio. Unfortunately, I now permanently share my office with our accountant (well, I still get a couple of hours to myself in the morning), he's not into rock at all, and 80s stuff seems to be the happy medium. I usually alternate between Absolute 80s and Free Radio 80s, but it's now (officially) Free Radio Christmas. What's that all about?! I don't mind Christmas stuff to a certain extent, but not all day every bleedin' day!
I did try to slyly slip Jazz FM on instead the other day, but he didn't seem to be enjoying it very much. :-D
Listening to: Gong - Angel's Egg
Track: I Never Glid Before
Yes, it would seem I've been slipping back into another Gong phase. This has always been my favourite of theirs.

haha - what's the point of that? It's bad enough with Absolute 80s trotting out the same old Christmas stuff every day. I suppose I shouldn't complain, I know it's Christmas and I'm aware they're not going to play any new Christmas songs on a retro radio station, but I can probably live without hearing Fairytale of New York ever again now thank you very much. I even heard them play Slade once, on the grounds that it was re-released in 1984. Aaaaaaargh!
I have too many people in the office to put music on, but because I've spent most of the last two months out in the warehouse I tend to alternate between Planet Rock, Absolute 80s and Radio 2 (which goes off at 10:50 as soon as Popmaster finishes). And if I'm completely on my own at work I just bung the ipod on, although sometimes I'll go back to the radio for a bit, if only to hear human voices other than the ones in my head ;-)

It's got Jessie Bloody J in it but don't let that put you off, I think it works really well.
